According to Jack Cashill (see this link), there is mounting evidence to indicate that Barack Obama was not the author of his now famous memoir, Dreams From My Father. His research into Obama's literary background shows that, prior to 1990, Obama had written nothing of note. Then like a bolt from the blue, Obama produces a work described by Time Magazine as "the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician."
Cashill observes, "I had questioned whether the influential Muslim crackpot who paved Obama’s way into Harvard, Khalid al Mansour, might have greased his way into the world of publishing as well." However, upon comparing the text of Obama's book to that of William Ayers' 2001 memoir Fugitive Days, Cashill now believes that the Obama book is substantially a product of the unrepentant former terrorist. He cites two passages from each book as evidence:
“I picture the street coming alive, awakening from the fury of winter, stirred from the chilly spring night by cold glimmers of sunlight angling through the city.” Bill Ayers, Fugitive Days.
“Night now fell in midafternoon, especially when the snowstorms rolled in, boundless prairie storms that set the sky close to the ground, the city lights reflected against the clouds.” Barack Obama, Dreams From My Father.
We already know Obama has not been forthcoming about his relationship with Ayers. If Ayers is, indeed, the real author of the Obama memoir, it could well reveal Obama's true puppet master. Were it a shadowy billionaire like George Soros, that would be bad enough, but a fanatical Marxist ideologue and unindicted terrorist!
A forensic textual analysis of Ayers' and Obama's books could answer this question. It could also be the sword that finally slays the presidential asperations of the junior senator from Illinois.
Cashill’s full analysis seems pretty compelling to me, and since it sounds like Obama’s editor was kept in the dark about it, I think someone like Ayers is the more likely. It would also explain why Obama’s especially touchy about Ayers.
Good point. It also gives Ayers something big on Obama. Blackmail (not for money, but influence) would abound... Has Ayers published much? (under his own name)
O'Reilly would be willing if he can get another intervies - and if he's aware of the conflict...
I respectfully disagree. I work around mostly white liberal types. They have embraced the kool-aid Obama stuff with a great deal of gusto. They listen to Bill Press, and other lefties and refuse to believe that the Bill Ayers connection is relevent. They don't get it, they do not want to get it, and they have very little grounding or understanding of American history, or appreciation of what made us great.
They have bought the MSM position that Governor Palin is an “idiot and an airhead” and will state openly that “McCain might die and we would be left with Palin”.
Nothing is going to change their positions, white guilt, BDS and constant harping has them unable to see the forest for the trees.
IMHO, no matter what happens, we are in real trouble. I ask myself how we got to this point, to these two choices and I cannot find an answer. Maybe I am wrong, but I see a very bumpy ride and a dark night in the future.
I will vote for McCain, but I hold very little hope that we will find the light at the end of the tunnel.
I agree that there's no point wasting time with people who are closed to the truth. Our target is the mushy middle - people who haven't swallowed the Marxist Kool-Aid.
Still, it's amazing to watch liberals swallow the obvious lie that each new conservative to emerge on the national scene is either evil or stupid. "Evil" didn't work well on Reagan (or on Palin), so the propagandists went with "stupid." They succeeded in tagging Gingrich and Cheney as "evil." In Bush's case, they have had success with both.
I must retract this statement. I heard Cashill last Thurs. and he said that academic types have been most helpful. Maybe there is is hope that America will not become Amerika.
