"...Her favorable rating is at 40 percent, down four points from last week, while her unfavorable rating stands at 30 percent, having risen eight points in the same period. Among women, Palin's favorable rating has fallen 11 points in the past week, the poll said...."

Why???? WHY??????
Wouldn’t have anything to do with the round the clock media bashing and distorting would it?
It’s all going to come down to the debates. It Palin exceeds expectations, and McCain merely does as expected, they will win quite easily. If one of them flubs, all bets are off.
LIE!!!LIE!!!
The non-stop assault is having its intended effect.
They wish.
Polls are all over the place right now. Wait until things settle down a little. Those against Palin are scared to death of her because they know she is right on all counts and isn’t the type to be told “Sit down and shut up”. They can’t control her and that alone scares them.
I smell push polling!
Any fresh new candidate is going to have an initial bounce then will drop back some. Obama’s getting a bounce from this week’s bad economic news and that bounce will fade as well. This is all part of the process.
It should only be a surprise to those who thought the election was over as soon as McCain took a bounce-laden 5-point lead. It’s going to be an up and down seven weeks.
Slo Joe vs Sarah Barracuda
The debate of the century!! You know, just KNOW how that one’s gonna turn out. Joe can’t help himself!
Another poll has Palin’s approve/disapprove at 42%/46%.
It would be interesting to see if they polled their readership, or just who might have been included. I don’t think the “40%” rating is correct, though. Are they talking about her positives falling from the Alaska favorable response, which is still over 80%? For people who never heard of her before two weeks or so ago, a 40% rating might be pretty respectable, considering all the negative press and the slapping around she has been getting from the Obamabots. U.S. Snooze is just wishful-thinking.
Don’t forget the close ties the Clintons have with some major polling companies (Gupta, CNN’s “official” pollster).
I imagine that “adjusting polling results” was one of the action items that came out of the big meeting with Bill Clinton and Obama last week. I fully expected this.
No, it’s certainly not, but man would the left love it if it was. So they figure, write enough articles about her not being popular, and it’s bound to catch on. Pathetic.
30% just happens to be just about equal to the amount of leftists in the country.
Go figure.
Her star is falling????
Is that why people in droves are coming to hear her speak wherever she shows up??
You know, I am sick and tired of people getting all worked up because dumb polls show McCain up at one point and then down at another point. It’s a see saw battle.
And the whole idea that the media bashing is working? Please. If anything, it is pissing people off, because they can’ stand the negativity.
This is a marathon people, not a sprint. True Republicans do not become cowardly when the fight starts to go the other way. They fight with what got them here, not cry and whine about it.
Wanna make a difference? Get out your friends and get them to vote.
They’re right, two weeks really is too long fror anyone to be on top. She’s like Icarus.
Meanwhile, Biden’s star fell about a hundred years ago.
