NASHVILLE The son of state Rep. Mike Kernell has been contacted by authorities in connection with a probe into the hacking of personal e-mail of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Kernell told The Tennessean.
Kernell, a Memphis Democrat, said his 20-year-old son David had been contacted by authorities investigating the hacking of Palins personal e-mail account, the newspaper reported on its Web site this afternoon.
The FBI and the Secret Service started a formal investigation Wednesday into the hacking, according to the Associated Press.
David Kernell is a student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

This was the lead story on Channel 5 News, out of Nashville, tonight. They interviewed his daddy, and he said his son had been contacted by the FBI and Secret Service but not arrested.
Keeping an eye on this as the investigation continues.

I agree and I am sorry I implied anyone here was behaving like an Obama supporter...although a couple of people seemed out for blood.
I think this is a good opportunity to demonstrate to that 40% of people who barely pay attention before they vote that we are not like the people who want Bush tried for war crimes. The guilty party does need to be treated like any person suspected of this type of crime. I was just warning against calls for the perp's head. I think if we play this right it will end up helping us keep Obama out of the White House.
