You are clever and creative; it's time to find a target worthy of your talents. Like Sarah Palin. Start harassing her! ......PS: Don't blow up our servers. Thanks!
.....and that it was time for them to find a new target. We even threw out a suggestion: Sarah Palin! And then yesterday, this happened.......
.
And then yesterday, this happened. Far be it from us to take credit for it, but as a commenter in our original jokingly post noted, "Careful what you wish for, buddy, You may find yourself labeled an accessory."
For the record, an (anonymous) representative of Anonymous denies that the group is responsible for the Palin email hack, instead blaming it on "/b/ from 4chan, a group that posts anonymously and creates internet mayhem and mischief." (4chan was one of the early proponents of both the Rickrolling and the LOLcat memes.)
Anonymous doesn't exactly have a public roster, so who knows if the person responsible was affiliated with the group or not. It's worth noting, though, that the group has always prided itself on acting within the confines of the law. (Hacking an email account is not so legal.)
Whoever it was, we'd like to make one thing clear in another open letter: don't tell the feds you got the idea from us.
The Feds are comin’
For if they don’t, it’s on to every other public official’s email, bank accounts, etc
See malkin’s page from yesterday...
The Obamaniacs don’t need a warrant to tap someone’s communications. They don’t need probable cause, they don’t need judicial oversight or any national security imperative.
They just need plausible deniability.
This is what they do now before they are in office. Think about what they will do once they have control of the levers of government.
i did
Well said, marron!
Our betters are honest people, only criminals have any need to fear from an investigation.
I heard a woman on the Frank Beckman show today telling him, oh, it wasn’t anyone from the campaign. It was probably just some kid because it originally went up on a site that teens and twenties go to. Uh huh. Yeah. The Obama disinformation committee starting to crank up the machine.
I read all over the kooky left blogs, that this is just a Rovian trick
inciting a riot is not protected free speech.
They are Stalinsts. They support terrorists like Bill Ayers. The ends justify the means.
Feds are too slow. Any incrementing files will already be overwritten, deleted and the entire volume “dd”ed.
DUmmie FUnnies 09-17-08 "Karl Rove hacked Sarah's email account"
you’d think secret service can make some headway... if they choose to?
I believe the leftslime doth protest too much.
The MSM’s take on this has been as follows: “sure, hacking her e-mail was sorta wrong, but it brings up questions as to whether she was skirting laws by e-mailing state government officials from her personal account.” In other words, crime is justified if it bags a Republican.
Really, wouldn’t it be funny to see the MSM’s reaction if someone out there say offered a reward for hacking into the personal e-mail of someone, like say, David Gregory or Keith Olberman. It would be like a bass tourney. Come claim your reward for every MSM big wig you bag. I wonder how the MSM would feel about the crime then? Would it be sorta bad or a crime?
Due such skill exist - yes. I'm not disparaging the skills of the agents.
Does the WILL exist to pay for the equipment and time necessary to pursue such a case - no. And that comment is directed at the management and bean counters of the organizations.
This is all based upon my experiences. Other cases may have had better results. The area that I have to give kudo’s to the agents is in NON-technical investigation. The follow the trail grunt work is very good.
As another IT Security SME, the 'gentlemen' that pulled this are rank amateurs at cover their tracks.
You have a point. Good ones usually don’t get caught. And the best don’t pull political stunts. But I suspect that the cover up machine is in high gear now and there is a lot of effort going into hiding tracks.
