Donald Trump, the flamboyant New York magnate, said on CNNs Larry King Live on Wednesday night that he is supporting Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for president.
Trump, never shy with his opinions, went on to say that McCain appears to be winning, and that Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) should have chosen Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) as his running mate.
I know John McCain, and John McCain's a great guy, a tremendous guy, Trump told King. I've known him for a long time. And I'm with him, and I'm with him based on the fact that I have great knowledge of John McCain. Also, this is not the right time for tax increases. And Obama wants to increase your taxes drastically.

Actually, I’m not so enamored with Trump, but I do realize that he has a huge following of admiring fans and the man knows how to make things happen.
Man that thing looks 30 years old. You couldn’t pay me to get on board one of those.
“Ive liked Trump ever since he exposed Rosie for what she is. Hes a hoot.”
Oh yes...almost forgot. That was fun! lol
It is the tax RATE that gets raised and lowered. Often increasing the tax rate leads to collecting less tax revenue. Reagan's drop in tax rates led to massive increases in tax revenue. If people only understood this, conservative ideas would spread. We need to use the correct terminology and say tax RATE when we mean it. It is similar to saying health care when it is health insurance that is meant.
In Maryland, Gov. O'Malley called a special session last fall to railroad through a sales tax rate increase from 5% to 6%. Well, tax revenue for the first six months is flat. Since the rate was increased 20% but the amount of taxes collected was the same, this means that Maryland lost a lot of sales to other jurisdictions or to simply not buying. This is bad for Maryland businesses, but liberal leaders don't get their big votes from entrepreneurs.
Mr. Trump’s tone on the talk shows sounded not only anti-Bush, but anti-GOP, so his McCain endorsement came as a pleasant surprise to me.
I think most of us freepers have a few bones to pick with George W., myself included; open borders / amnesty and the prescription drug program are a few that come to mind.
Bush's tax cuts of lower income tax rates increased federal revenue 47% from 2003 to 2006. From about $1.7 trillion per year to $2.5 trillion per year.
Maybe Trump will ask Obama to appear on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ after this election is over? /s
Was that at his place in Florida?
And real estate finance.
Trump knows money and economics. He knows that raising taxes in a soft economy is a disastrous idea. The MSM must HATE this endorsement.
[Have you ever heard a politician state were going to raise your taxes simply because we can ?]
Actually, Obama said in his debate with Hillary that he would raise the capital gains tax, even though that has proven to decrease Gov’t revenue, in the name of fairness.
A stopped watch is right twice a day...
I see some role for Lynn Rothschild in a McCain administration. It would serve two purposes. First is to reward her for her switching allegiance and second it would make it hard for her to go back to Hillary in 2012.
Omorosa? Isn’t that Obama’s wife....
Remember after 9-11 when he said the twin towers should be rebuilt even higher and the UN should occupy the top floors?
The guy can be annoying but he works hard and loves his country.
Considering it's a 727-100, it's probably closer to 40 years old. Anyway its the operating hours and cycles that are most important not the chronological age. As long as the maintenance is kept up, there's no reason to stop flying it other than the fact that by today's standards, it is a fuel hog. It has a three man cockpit rather than the now standard two man cockpit, which adds to operating costs. It has three engines rather than two, which increases fuel consumption and increases maintenance costs. On the other hand, the 727 was cheap to acquire, so it doesn't cost much to keep it on the ground waiting around for The Donald. A newer aircraft would be rather expensive to keep waiting around on the ground. Personally the 727 is my favorite plane. When I was a kid I used to love sitting just behind the wings and watch the flaps deploy on a 727 during takeoffs and landings.
hahaha! yes... i knew Michelle reminded me of somebody!
AHAH. Proof McCain only wants to help the super-rich and wants the rest of us to be homeless, starving and with no transportation just like KO says. Just kidding, but that’s what I expect them to say. McCain is too rich and Palin is too poor to be president I guess.
