"This phenomenal woman, pro-life, pro-normal marriage ... a woman's woman... a reflection of the Jewish midwives in the book of Exodus, they kept the babies alive." NEW YORK, NY (LifesiteNews) - In response to recent claims that Gov. Sarah Palin's strong religious views may be "a cause of concern" for the Jewish community, noted Rabbi Yehuda Levin has issued high praise for Palin, saying that anti-Semitic claims could not be farther from the truth for "this phenomenal woman," whom he calls "a gift from God" to America.
"Sarah Palin's caring about the security of the residents of Israel is certainly important to Jews," said Levin, "but to American citizens, Jews and non-Jews, her domestic policy of morality, decency, family values, fairness in education where parents have a choice of how and where to educate their children, all of this is great." Rabbi Levin, who usually represents the Union of Orthodox Rabbis and the Rabbinical Alliance of America, says he has issued his video response simply as a Jewish U.S. citizen.

QUOTE = {Regardless of endorsements, Palin needs to make clear her views and her churchs views on Jews for Jesus. Does she agree with Ann Coulter that Jews need to be perfected?}
What would Jesus say about that?
Beef? This is a legitimate question that needs to be asked with regards to people of the Jewish faith. If a Rabbi gives his endorsement of a candidate whose church is a sponsor of the “Jews for Jesus” movement, can it be safe to assume that Palin has made it clear she isn’t down with conversion? If not, why?
I think the Rabbi gave an endorsement of a Woman who honored the life of the unborn, and a Woman who explifies a holy woman in her marriage, and with her children. Who stands up for what she believes in. I think Rabbi Levin found things that he liked about Sarah Palin, things that he agreed with, not things he might disagree with.
And just maybe he found there was a whole lot more that he found in common with Palin, than he found he differed with.
Agree to disagree? Decent point if true. If only Ann Coulter and certain other evangelicals could subscribe to such “live and let live” philosophies.
Ping!
Evangelicals stand proud and tall in the defense of Jews worldwide and Israel.
It is imperative that so many more Jews would come to understand this.
It’s Judeo-Christian values that hold Western Civilization together.
Divisiveness is the dream our enemies and especially Islamisists wish to see, it leads to your destructio first, followed by ours.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.

Since Christ said he came first to save the Jews and that Christians should proclaim the Gospel to all, it is an article of faith to spread the Gospel. Would you have Sarah renounce her faith?
Having slept on the "perfected" term.. I think you meant perfected in having Christ in your life. I don't really listen to much of what Ann Coulter says, so I do not know what her thoughts are on this. Not much of a groupie myself.
I am getting a bit tired of the term "evangelical" being used in this election year. A term that came into being while Mike Huckabee was running, who by the way I did not care for. I do like Sarah Palin, because like the Rabbi she has personal traits we can admire. Sarah Palin ..Loves Family ,Loves Life, and Loves Country, she doesn't just talk the talk, she walks the walk.. Rabbi Levin sees it, and I see it.
Thanks C from E.:)
Rabbi Levin comes through again! G-d bless him!
I'll field this one. I urge the reader to read the entire post before responding.
It is the nature of conventional, traditional, "western" religion to believe in its own truth. "Eastern" religions may be syncretistic, but that's a whole different ballgame. Unfortunately, most "westerners" nowadays have rejected the concept of the facticity of religious truth and turned religion into a vague, factless, subjective aspect of ethno-culture.
Every orthodox believer in every "western" style religion believes that he is right and every other religion is wrong. Every single one. Every orthodox chr*stian, of whatever confession, believes that the messiahship of J*sus is a FACT, not a "faith tradition," and that everyone who rejects this, however sincere and however good they are, is wrong. And contrary to popular belief, it isn't just Protestant Fundamentalists who want to convert the Jews to their form of chr*stianity. Every orthodox believer in every chr*stian confession wants this to happen. They are wrong, but so long as they don't engage in persecution or unethical ways to bring this about then it is for G-d, not anyone else, to police their innermost thoughts.
And it isn't just chr*stianity. It is well known that all orthodox moslems believe that they are right and that the world should convert to islam. Does anyone deny this?
And furthermore, and most importantly, while Orthodox Jews are not conventionally missionary ("conventionally" being the operative word), they most certainly believe that J*sus is not the Messiah and that chr*stians, however well-intentioned, are objectively mistaken--it's not a case of "well, he's the messiah for you, but not for us" (only some kind of fuzzy headed hippie could say such a thing). If J*sus isn't the messiah, then he isn't the messiah--period. And when the real Messiah comes (in the Jewish/Noachide view) all sincere chr*stians will realize their mistake and accept the real messiah with joy. In other words, since chr*stianity is a false religion, at the end of history it will cease to exist.
The reason I stress this last point so much is that there are plenty of people out there who apparently believe that, anyone who believes that J*sus is the Jewish messiah (chas vechalilah!) and therefore that chr*stianity will be vindicated at the end of time should be disqualified from holding political office. Good gravy! What kind of mentality is that??? Every religiion believes it will be vindicated in the end! Are we going to disqualify the orthodox adherents of all of them from holding political office on the grounds that this perfectly normal and orthodox belief is "bigotry" or "proselytization?" Or is it only (white) chr*stians who are disqualified, everyone else being celebrated as evidence of "diversity?"
The reason chr*stians are chr*stians is that they believe that J*sus is the Jewish messiah. If you're going to ask them to drop this belief then have the decency to convert them to another religion that does not share this belief. Just as Jews and Noachides believe that chr*stianity is false and will cease to exist when the real Messiah comes, so sincere chr*stians believe that when he comes it will turn out to be J*sus (chas vechalilah!) and that all Jews of good will will recognize this. We talking about a time when history as we know it has come to an end. The term "conversion" doesn't even describe this situation.
I hope I've made my position clear. I apologize if I have not.
After reading your article, and seeing that you can not even type out the Word Jesus, or Christians, or Christianity, without omitting letters and putting a “*” in their place, I find your arguement irrelevant to me personally.
How dumb, are you? I noticed you did not leave a letter out of Jew.
How dumb, are you? I noticed you did not leave a letter out of Jew.
You're welcome.
Wow, mocking someone because he has a different view of the nature of Jesus.
Certainly respectfully disagree, argue passionately, hold fast to your beliefs, but mocking is not exactly showing the love of Christ.

The whole point of my post was to defend chr*stians who believe that they are right and that one day the entire world will come to see this. As I said, all traditional "western" religions hold this view of being proven right in the end (it's called "the eschatalogical triumph," I believe). I regard it sheer madness and hypocrisy to demand that chr*stians reject this essential belief of theirs in order to hold political office.
Unfortunately, all that got tossed out because of my long-time observance of a peculiar moral scruple of mine. Sometimes when I try my hardest I get hammered by the people I'm doing my best to support and defend.
