In the latest of a series of invasions into Sarah Palins personal life, hackers have broken into the Republican vice presidential candidates private e-mail account, and a widely read Web site has published screen grabs from it.
An article Wednesday in Gawker.com posts family photos and snapshots of e-mail exchanges the Alaska governor had with colleagues. Gawker says the-email account has since been shut down, but it will leave the images up on its site for all to see.
Here are the screenshots of the emails saved before the account went dark, along with the contact list. Its newsworthy and we will not be taking it down! the site declares.
Rick Davis, campaign manager for John McCain, released a statement calling the publication a shocking invasion of the governors privacy and a violation of law.
The matter has been turned over to the appropriate authorities and we hope that anyone in possession of these e-mails will destroy them. We will have no further comment, Davis said.

Believe me if anything of relevance, or importance would have been in her old email box...it would have made the national news by now.
When it’s the government attempting to intercept communications between those who would do us harm, we need to whine and protest with a bunch of people who haven’t showered in days.
When it’s a Republican politician, hey, it happens.
IBtP
The msm canot publish any content or discuss the contents or would be committing a felony, as such msm canot report any information contained in private emails, its like evidence obtained illegally cannot be used in a court and any reference to them is a felony.
There’s the consolation. Our little scamps clearly did not find anything scandalous or it would be all over everywhere.
I have a feeling they are not going to get off with wristslaps.
These are the same ones crying about the patriot act and incursion into tho their private lives.
...........any wonder why attorneys and executives don’t use email?
Naturally the type of folks who are adamantly opposed to the Government monitoring exchanges b/n extra national terrorist suspects are perfectly OK with a Republican’s personal accounts being hacked and made public.
It is after all news.
So, they hack into her account the juiciest email they could post was someone saying and asking for prayers and family photos?
The “values” of the Democrat party core become more and more evident every day to voters.
They organize concerted efforts to shut down and shut up anyone critical of their messiah.
They commit felonys hacking into and distributing personal information on their opponents.
TWO HALLMARKS OF LIBERALS:
FANTASY AND HYPOCRISY
*and* forgot it. :D
We are fortunate to have enemies this stupid. They’ll only end up with blowback for this desperate act of invasion.
I’m not concerned, this woman is honorable, so don’t think there is anything to show for their efforts.
One would have thought the Secret Service/FBI/men in black would have secured all computers, phones, cells, etc. she and her family used.
Nothing of importance, but private photos of her family and also the emails of everyone in address book was posted.
I am disgusted by the insanity in this country right now. I thought Bush Derangement Syndrome was bad, but this is bordering on pyschotic by these nimrods.
And complaining that murdering your unborn child is an act of “Privacy”.
I suspect they are about to find they are very wrong on that point. Even though Gawker most likely wasn't involved in the breach, they are likely going to need some lawyers very soon. I hope this costs them major $$$.
