TvPoll: McCain-Palin By 41, Inhofe By 25

A new TvPoll for KWTV-Channel 9 indicates a Republican sweep of the state this year.

The new poll reinforces earlier polls showing the McCain-Palin Republican ticket trouncing the Obama-Biden Democrat ticket and incumbent Senator Jim Inhofe running far ahead of Democrat Andrew Rice.

In the new poll, McCain-Palin are at 68.8 percent, Obama-Biden at just 27.4 percent.

In the Senate race, Inhofe is at 55.7 percent, Rice at just 30.6 percent.

Guess Obama's offices in OKC and Tulsa are not helping. It was 38 points last week and now 41 points ahead for Sen McCain.

Poll came out today on the news. The polling of Channel 9 has been one of the more accurate polls in Oklahoma. They were making on the news about the 6% undecideds and wondering where they have been. Professor Gaddy suggested they stay home in last week's polling show. They said there wasn't much change -- Sen McCain gained 3+ points!

McCain/Palin gained some more support in OK from last week. Wish we could share some of the points ahead with other states. :)

Just saw a negative obama ad linking McCain's advisors to their lobbying activities. Don't know if it was a national buy or local, but I'm sitting in Oklahoma City tonight.

Here's hoping that it was a wasted local buy.

That ad runs in Raleigh, NC as well. It is tacky if people know his own cronies. I hope McCain counters it.

If the election was just OK, it would already be over!

I heard the Obama camp had bought some ads in OK — how dumb is that?

For McCain to be 41 ahead in OK, you have to wonder how it could be so close in other states that have a conservative tilt.

I bet it’s driving the MSM newsrooms crazy that Obama isn’t 20 points ahead everywhere. The race being this close, given the TOTAL one sided bias in the press for Obama has to be driving the liberal media crazy. It just shows how ineffective and irrelevant they are.

The media and the ‘pop culture’ in general have been trying to force this joke of a candidate on us for the last year and he’s behind in the polls with around 50 days to go.

Great to be from Oklahoma! Last time Oklahoma voted for a Dem for President was LBJ in 1968 and they regretted that vote.

Now if I could just send some points to my native State of Ohio, it would be great!

Oklahoma has a lot of Democrats but they're very conservative. The state's voting history is Republican and the state has two GOP senators and only one Democrat in its congressional delegation.

Two guys on the radio news said it wasn’t even worth spending much time on the Presidential race because Obama is history in OK. That was the understatement of the year — figured then there would be great numbers released.
