Glad to hear all are fine....what a time to have knee surgery. Sounds like restoring power is coming along real well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjjTY4L6Bwk&feature=related

Off we go into the wild blue yonder,
Climbing high into the sun;
Here they come zooming to meet our thunder,
At ‘em boys, Give ‘er the gun!
Down we dive, spouting our flame from under,
Off with one hell of a roar!*
We live in fame or go down in flame.
Nothing can stop the U.S. Air Force!

Minds of men fashioned a crate of thunder,
Sent it high into the blue;
Hands of men blasted the world asunder;
How they lived God only knew! (God only knew!)
Souls of men dreaming of skies to conquer
Gave us wings, ever to soar!
With scouts before and bombers galore.
Nothing can stop the U.S. Air Force!

Here’s a toast to the host
Of those who love the vastness of the sky,
To a friend we send a message of his brother men who fly.
We drink to those who gave their all of old,
Then down we roar to score the rainbow’s pot of gold.
A toast to the host of men we boast, the U.S. Air Force!

Off we go into the wild sky yonder,
Keep the wings level and true;
If you’d live to be a grey-haired wonder
Keep the nose out of the blue! (Out of the blue, boy!)
Flying men, guarding the nation’s border,
We’ll be there, followed by more!
In echelon we carry on.
Nothing can stop the U.S. Air Force!

I call foul on two questions ~ there is more than five spices and ketchup is not one of them! And there is no supper ~ it goes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I call it breakfast, lunch, and supper.

Dinner is what you have on Sunday early afternoon. Dinner at Grandma's is especially nice. :)

“Are you safe and sound after Ike?”

Yepper - I’m up in North Texas (DFW area) - so far north that some of my southern brethren call me a Yankee. (They really know how to hurt a guy, LOL.)

Thanks for askin’.

So, tell me all about Sarah. She sounds like my kinda gal.
Wish I could find a single one like her around here.

Hope you’re doing well - watch out for the liberal snakes that are invading your beautiful state. At least you can count on them being gone by election time, heheh.

Snakes for sure....and nasty and intent on something to take her out. They are scum, and there seems to be no low that they will not sink to...and they are being helped by the dim politicos and good old boys she has taken on.

Aloha Jinxy! Where do you call home town?

I know you're probably elsewhere now, but I just am getting back online...

I live in Sierra Vista, now, which is just outside the gates of Ft. Huachuca. I also call Glendale (Phoenix suburb) home. That's where I lived before enlisting.

Well, don’t worry too much about those liberal snakes. I have a feelin’ that Sarah can handle them alright.

In fact, I ‘spect it’s goin’ to git downright entertainin’ afore too long, heheh.

I’ve got my popcorn ready and am just waitin’ for the fireworks to start in earnest, LOL.

I thought I was ready for the “bad” stuff, but I was sadly mistaken. She IS a strong lady, but the evil forces are strong and the laws mean nothing to them. They know no rules.

Aloha again Jinxy!

I came from a little place called Hopewell Jct, NY, but my father was a career Navy Chief and I was born 3000 miles away, in a Naval Hospital, at the Zoo.

Looking back, I'd moved so many times to so many places in the US and SE Asia in my younger days, hard to put a claim on any one of 'em. My family's home is in upstate NY though.....that's where I enlisted.

Yep, I’m pretty durn Texan. There are only a few that I couldn’t check, but they require an explanation:

I didn’t check the first one, regarding spices, because they didn’t list habenero and cayenne.

I don’t prefer Dairy Queen to McDonalds, because in my days as a young field geologist, I once worked for six weeks in a town so small that Dairy Queen was the only resuraunt. Ever try to eat three squares at DQ for six weeks???

I no longer prefer High School Football to Ice Hockey. My son played his last football game in the 80’s. His team did go to the State Semi-Finals, and he played the last game of his High School football career in Texas Stadium.
I am a Dallas Starts fan - Go Stars!!!

And I have ice skated outside (field work in Colorado) I also ski.

You Are 56% Texas
At first, you seem Texan... but just because a chicken has wings don't mean it can fly.
How Texas Are You?

OTOH, there is hope for me.

I'm interviewing in Houston next week...
