The Danger of Vote Fraud in the 2008 Election
Human Events ^ | 9/16/2008 | Phyllis Schafly

Posted on 09/16/2008 10:31:50 AM PDT by markomalley

The most provocative line in the Democratic national platform adopted in Denver is: "We oppose laws that require identification in order to vote or register to vote." Since it's routine to show an ID in order to board a plane and do dozens of other very ordinary things, what's the big deal about showing an ID to exercise the most important privilege of citizenship?

That question is answered in the new book by John Fund called "Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy." Honest elections absolutely depend on preventing the stuffing of the ballot box by people who are not eligible to vote.

Among those who are not eligible to vote are those who are dead, who are not residents of the precincts where they vote, who are registered to vote in another state, who are underage and especially those who are not citizens. Votes cast by any of those can cancel out your vote and, in close elections, decide the winner.

Fund describes how easy it is for unscrupulous politicians to buy voter impersonators with a little cash and get them to cast illegal votes. The Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals explained "the extreme difficulty of apprehending a voter impersonator. He enters the polling place, gives a name that is not his own, votes and leaves. If later it is discovered that the name he gave is that of a dead person, no one at the polling place will remember the face of the person who gave that name."

Phyllis, Phyllis, Phyllis...

It's "OK" to do this if you are a Democrat. Don't you know that yet after all of these years?

The only way the Republicans lose this election is by the Dem Vote Fraud Machine. The only reasons the past 2 elections were close and there was a so called "record" turnout was vote fraud.

Post that will make your head spin from 2002:

I just voted in MA primary. Gave my street address and then my name. Nobody asked for ID. They never do. It would be easy for someone to show up at the polls before I do and use my
address and name, vote, and get away with it.

I asked our city clerk what would happen if I went to vote and a person ahead of me in line identified themselves with my name and address. The Poll workers know me. They would not even be allowed to say that I was right behind him. He steals my vote. There are people who get the lapsed voter list and drive from poll to poll doing this.

The Democrat tvoter fraud in this election is simply going to be BREATHTAKING...

VOTE-BY-MAIL, and “Absentee” balloting done by the likes of ACCORN is going to produce MILLIONS of votes for Obama that otherwise would not exist.

And Democrats are already screaming about a Justice Department Plan to put investigators in certain “Problem” districts, because it is OBVIOUSLY racist!!

I have, on three successive elections, tried to show my MD Drivers License. The election judges refused to look at it. Just for grins, I tried to force one of them to look at it once: I was told if I didn't put it away, they'd have me arrested for disrupting a polling place (or some such charge).

The tragic irony is that American taxpayers are funding the criminal enterprise to take away their freedom through vote fraud. Ear-marked funds from Obama and his anti-American associates in Congress are the primary sources of funds for these criminal groups.

The biggest fraud is using voter apathy. In an area with low turnout, you announce huge turnout and request more ballots. These go to a room where minions punch your candidate 100%.

When polls close, you go through the list of voters on the list who did not show up, and mark them as “voted”, and add that many ballots to the pile.

This results in 99% (or sometimes 104%) turnout.

You may need to ask for last-minute extended hours to get poll watchers to change shifts.

Looking at eh number of precincts turning in 99% or more, this seems to be a common tactic.

Any time a public official attains office through obviously illegal means, the results of the election need to be aggressively challenged. In a republic, voter fraud amounts to a breaking of the contract between the government and the citizens and, in the case of citizens who steal another’s vote, it is a breaking of the contract between them and the citizens who honestly and honorably attempt to excerice their constitutional rights.

Possible? With ACORN committing voter fraud by the tens of thousands of illegal registrations and requests for absentee ballots you can GUARANTEE it!

Again, a vitally important issue/opportunity completely blown by the inept Bush Administration. After the 2000 election, there was incredible public support for tightening the screws on voter fraud and the entire voting process in this country. Similar to blowing the immigration crackdown capital available after 9-11, the Bush Administration let this one sit too. So if we lose this election to this non-American socialist, thanks again to Bush and his numbnuts advisors like Rove.

The real ID act is the only protection we will have. And a federal law should go into effect requiring photo ID from a state government that uses Real ID to vote. THis will elimintate voter fraud. Or a thumb print on all ballots.

When polls close, you go through the list of voters on the list who did not show up, and mark them as “voted”, and add that many ballots to the pile.

Here in West Virginia the poll workers mark your record indicating that you have voted. The Republican Party also stores this information in their "Voter Vault" program.

It would seem to be a simple matter for the party to send postcards out to everyone in a precinct who were recorded voters and ask them if they had, in fact, voted. With enough negative responses you could take the Dems to court and request that the results of the election be declared null and void.
