It's happening in Michigan

Several municipal clerks across the state are reporting fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications, most of them from a nationwide community activist group working to help low- and moderate-income families.

The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has a large voter registration program among its many social service programs. ACORN's Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees.

"There appears to be a sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications," said Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State's Office. "And it appears to be widespread."

Lagstein said ACORN's Detroit office has hired dozens of employees for the voter registration program and that any problems likely stem from sloppiness or incompetence -- not an intent to let people vote more than once.

Oh really? Just an accident? Then how do you explain the fact that ACORN has been involved in at least 20 vote fraud incidents—including arrests and convictions—just since 1998? Oh, and Obama was a “leadership trainer” for ACORN. How lovely.

Obama received more than $24,000 in campaign contributions over a period of two months last fall from three Palestinian brothers from the "Edwan" family in Rafah, Gaza, which is a Hamas stronghold along the border with Egypt. Attorney and conservative commentator Debbie Schlussel notes foreign nationals are barred from making contributions in connection with any election -- federal, state, or local -- and an individual is allowed to give only $2,300 per election to a federal candidate or the candidate's campaign committee.

"The donations are basically through and through illegal -- that's number one. And number two is how the Obama campaign tried to conceal it," Schlussel chides. "They listed the campaign contributions as coming from Rafah, Georgia. They used the 'GA' from Gaza so it makes it look like it's legal; and then for the zip code it says '972,' which is actually the area code to dial over to Gaza," she contends.

Unbelievable what you can get away with when the media wants you to win.

Do the Obamunists realize what they may be fomenting for this? Hugh Hewitt once said, “If it’s not close, they can’t cheat.”. Well, if it is close, and they do cheat, and if it throws the election to Obama? Do you want to see the potential of a nation about to go violent? I do not think that even even entreaties by McCain himself would do much good, if there is an honest belief that cheating did occur. This is not 1960, when Daley’s gang put JFK over the top by quietly throwing ballots into Lake Michigan. I do hope that the compliance lawyers for the GOP have themselves thuroughly organized, because ACORN’s mischief in Milwaukee, Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, and Philadelphia in particular must be thwarted before we really have a problem.
