A college has renamed the traditional Christmas and Easter breaks in a bid to avoid offending students from other religions.
The college's new calendar shows that both of the traditional holiday periods have now been re-branded as 'end of term breaks'.
Critics have complained that the decision by Yorkshire Coast College is nothing more than 'political correctness'.
Tory MP Robert Goodwill said: 'I have heard that some people refer to the Christmas period as the Winterval, which is worse. This is absolutely barmy.
'We are a Christian country and, to be honest, religious tolerance in this country is about respecting other people's religious beliefs.'

PS - “holidays” comes from “Holy Days” - specifically Christian holy days. Morons. Might as well hand the UK over to Osama and his ilk right now. You apparently all want to be good second class kafir and pay the jizzya.

I'm offended by the REMOVAL of these holidays. Where's this much celebrated diversity and tolerance of Christian culture?
If Obama is elected the Left will impose more diversity/multicultural/tolerance codes and laws. The DemonRats will push for federal hate speech laws.
A few years ago, Occidental College—Barack Obama’s alma mater—removed the cross from its chapel so as to avoid offending non-Christians. The college was founded in 1887 by Presbyterians.

Have you looked at any American school calendar lately, from elementary school - college? Unless it’s a Christian school, you will probably not find the words “Easter” or “Christmas” on it.
In this regard, we’re way “ahead” of England. It’s been happening here in our country for at least ten years. This is newer to England.
Tell why it’s okay to offend Christians?
I remember when we use to get Easter week off. Now they don’t have it off but have “Spring Break” a week before Easter.
Because they know we'll turn the other cheek. We'll just take it, without daring to respond and stick our head up as a target we know other Christians won't protect. Because we've become girliemen, and are no longer Christian soldiers. Because Christians are weak.
