Governor Palin Rally Golden Colorado After Action Report
September 15, 2008 | Bulletbobco

Well...I played hookie this morning and went to the Sarah Palin Rally this morning at the Westernaires Arena in Golden, Colorado. It was originally to be a pancake breakfast meeting, but due to the overwhelming demand the campaign ran out of tickets in the span of eight hours so the pancakes were tossed out. I had called ahead and I had tickets available at the "will call" booth at the arena. I left the house in Thornton at 5 AM and parked at the Colorado Mills Mall parking lot at 5:30. I then walked about a mile to the Arena. I have been to a few air shows and I figured, better to spend 20 minutes walking than an hour and a half idling in a car trying to get out of the venue. I went to the "will call" area and received my tickets. I was in the top 10% of the line and as the sun came up I started in through security and made my way to the front and found a nice nesting spot where I could see Governor Palin. Sarah's appearance was delayed as President Bush made an address to the nation and we had to wait for him to finish.

One thing that I noticed, was that during the warm up, they asked how many Democrats were here. The response was very loud.

Sarah came out and gave her speech. When she was finished, she came down to work the patriots. I was one of the first that she met and I asked her to sign my boonie hat. I gave her my marker and she signed my hat and asked if she could use the marker to sign someones ticket. I told her that she could keep the marker.

All in all, everyone had a great time and I think Obama is in trouble.

I finally got all my pictures (mine, daughter’s, BIL’s) onto my computer and the best of the lot are on Shutterfly. I’ll upload and give a play by play on the Carson City rally.

Her husband also looks like he’s having a great time.

Yeah. Once McCain/Palin get in I'm looking for him to become Minister of Snowmobiling and Motor Sports

He'll also head up a program to build more refineries

I’m hoping that they’ll build a satellite White House in Alaska, for security reasons. They can locate it right next to Superman’s “Fortress of Solitude”.

Bama is at the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo speaking as I type this. They held it in the Grandstand which holds 8000-10,000, I think.

Waiting for a local report to see how big the crowd size.

Gates opened at 10:30 this morning.

Did you see the new Rasmussen poll (released today) has McCain-Palin up two in Colorado?

Local News reporting now the crowd for the Obama speech in Pueblo was only 13,000 people.

I say 'only' because Pueblo is the second biggest Democrat stronghold in the state.

Louzy turn-out, IMO, for a town of nearly 100,000 blue collar workers.

She always looks nice. I just have this thing about horizontal stripes. “STOP ME BEFORE I SNARK AGAIN!”

Yes...I saw the poll!

Here's hoping McCain/Palin hold that lead.
