The former Alaska public safety commissioner who refused to fire a state trooper embroiled in a domestic dispute with Gov. Sarah Palin's sister says he holds no grudge, but still believes the GOP vice presidential nominee is too thin-skinned for the job she hopes to fill.
-snip-
It turns out that well before he was jettisoned for what he says was his refusal to fire trooper Wooten at the behest of Sarah Palin, Monegan had his own share of domestic troubles - some of them spilling all the way down to the Bay Area.
In October 1994, Monegan's estranged wife, who had moved from Alaska to the Peninsula with the couple's two daughters after more than 10 years of marriage, sought a temporary restraining order against him - accusing Monegan of threatening to kill her, waving a gun at her and dislocating her shoulder, according to her declaration on file in Santa Clara County Superior Court.
In an interview last week, Georgene Moldovan said Monegan had threatened several times to throw her body in an Alaska river.
-snip-
Monegan admitted to dislocating Moldovan's shoulder, but said it was an accident that had happened before they were married, while they "were wrestling and tickling."

Birds of a feather...
Lol...Go ahead MSM, keep this story alive.
This is from a guy who threatened to kill his wife and throw her in the river....
Love how liberals treat their women...I meant to say “feminists”.
Who knew feminints were into submissive rough sex?
You are correct. They need to address this before the Dem report comes out on Halloween. If they don’t, I have to blame McCain for not defending Palin.
So the the story is Governor Palin fires male ‘woman abusers’ from public safety positions. hmm.
Good catch.
If the talking head GOP types would simply say the above, this matter would be all over by now.
The morons commenting on this story at SF Gate see it as an indictment of Palin.
Click the “Comments” link at SF Gate and read some of the lunacy.
Yep, if they don’t fight back hard and very publicly now, it will just become one of those lies the MSM repeats until everyone believes it.
Our party has been silent far too long. For the first time in years, our side is calling them on the lies, and it’s working. McCain and Palin’s fight back, and the MSM isn’t used to that.
Sounds to me like Monegan is throwing a temper tantrum because he had his ass kicked by “a girl” and his ego can’t deal with it.
“..but still believes the GOP vice presidential nominee is too thin-skinned for the job she hopes to fill.”
Anybody with a thin skin wouldn’t have survived these past several weeks.
Return to “Go” and loose three throws.
Monegan admitted that Palin never asked him to fire the Wooten, and also admitted that Wooten was “not a model trooper.”
Governer Palin’s father, Chuck Heath, had contacted state police with several allegations against Wooten: using a Taser on his 10-year-old stepson (which Wooten admits); shooting a moose without a permit; and drinking beer while driving a patrol car.
Many other members of the governor’s staff complain to the Safety Commissioner about the trooper.
Wooten was disciplined in 2006 for making a death threat to Chuck Heath, though he denied the allegation, naturally. It was no doubt just bravura, just loud-mouthed talk. You know, macho stuff. Men do it all the time. It’s an ego trip.
Except.. she didn’t fire him (Monegan) for not firing Wooten. If I remember correctly, she fired Monegan for failing meet budgetary expectations. (part of the reform platform)
