WASHINGTON - Orders President Bush signed in July authorizing raids by special operations forces in the areas of Pakistan controlled by the Taliban and Al Qaeda and undertaking those raids without official Pakistani consent, have roots stretching back to the days following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In an address to a joint session of Congress nine days after 9/11, President Bush said, "From this day forward any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime."

All I know is that soon we’re going to start hearing Dumbo say that President Bush took his advice.

That would be the “Bush Doctrine” that you idiots at the LSM love to beat Gov Palin up over.

. . . the evolution in Pakistan is similar to what occurred in Cambodia during the Vietnam War

Anyone screaming "war criminal" at the Administration as happened back then should be "disappeared" on the spot and not seen again until this war is over.

No more nice guys letting traitors root for their Ho over there leading the enemy against U.S. forces. Not this time!

the handling of forays into Pakistan will fall increasingly into military rather than CIA hands.

I hope that increase in our military's responsibility leads to making sure that the private jets transporting supporters of radical Islamists have the exploding center fuel tank problem.

What U.S. authority? Authority? We are at war. Next question.

"This says loud and clear, 'We're fed up.' "

I hope that this turn of events signals a W.W.II-style commitment to winning.

Enough already with sending the few, the brave, the best off to fight and fight again and again. Enough with planning recruitment from among of yet another generation of Americans.

Win the damn war now! -- even if such actions increase the risks to us civilians here at home. Already we're told that it's not if it's when we'll get hit again. If it means a rash of smaller attacks too, so what. We are at war.

FDR didn't leave it for Elvis.

When I say W.W.II I do not mean massive troop maneuvers. Give the enemy a punishing lesson in 21st century Yankee ingenuity. The only need for massive troop maneuvers will be here to quell uprisings by the enemies within and to herd 'em off the internment camps for the duration.

It's that serious, IMO.

Obama has said he would do it. That is enough for me.

Authority?
We need authority from anyone to chase those who wish to kill us?
Piss up a rope.
