Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., fighting to salvage his Presidential campaign, today acknowledged ''a mistake'' in his youth, when he plagiarized a law review article for a paper he wrote in his first year at law school.
Mr. Biden insisted, however, that he had done nothing ''malevolent,'' that he had simply misunderstood the need to cite sources carefully. And he asserted that another controversy, concerning recent reports of his using material from others' speeches without attribution, was ''much ado about nothing.''

Obama Says A Baby Is A Punishment
Obama: If they make a mistake, I dont want them punished with a baby.
Biden seeks a way to make himself look not so bad and wants America to show pity upon him?
Or, is he trying to scuttle his own VP slot and grease the skids for Hillary to come on board as Obama’s VP?

Maybe the press will talk about this more and more (they are some now) as a way to get rid of Biden as Obama’s VP nom.?
When I heard Biden say that Hillary would make a better VP than he, it looked really suspicious.
Okay, first of all that was from a 1987 NYT piece, ironically published when he was participating in the borking of Robert Bork.
Second, there’s this bit of a gem deep into the piece: “The file also included Mr. Biden’s transcript from his days as an undergraduate at the University of Delaware. In his first three semesters, his grades were C’s or D’s, with three exceptions: two A’s in physical education courses, a B in a course on ‘’Great English Writers’’ and an F in R.O.T.C.”
Heck, an F in ROTC is even better than “I woulda joined the service if only there’d been a war (well, a ‘just’ war).”
Law school is basically like grad school and by then you know how to cite sources via either a bibliography or footnotes.
Plugsie ain’t malevolent, just stupid.

since when has plagarism been malevonent? It shows dishonesty
Sorry for the double-post. I thought I’d made the borking/swiftboating correction in time to avoid it.
My high school daughter knows the importance of citing sources, yet Biden doesn't?
I do pity Biden, but pity is not what America needs. I do pity the sorry life of Obama too. He was on drugs and is a smoker, but again, pity is not what America needs. America needs a hero and an “example” fit to follow.
Well at least the issue is finally out there.
Cheers!
Biden=tool
