Ever since that dreadful morning in January, 2007, when Nancy Pelosi raised her right hand and swore to uphold the U.S. Constitution as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, feminists have insisted that she be addressed by her Constitutional title, despite the fact that that woman is uniquely unqualified to be third in the line of succession...

He’s wrong.
Calling her “Sarah” means we think that she’s one of us, (only with more energy, harder work ethic, and quicker learning curve.)
Some truth in that sentiment, the proper Title is Governor Palin, and I think Governor has been dropped for political reasons.
I do use “Sarah” mostly because she makes such a strong personal connection with my views and outlook, in fact, Governor Palin could be a member of my family in my view.
Clearly, feminism as espoused by she and her ilk is merely another thrust of Marxism at the core of the great traditional American values, not unlike the green movement/environmentalism/Anthropogenic Global Warming Anthropogenic Climate Change .
If this were a forum of true conservatives, traditions and respect would be appropriate, but I doubt that in its current composition posters will wish to act as such.
She is Sarah. I will always call her Sarah. because I feel like I know her. She inspires me.
That’s OK, we call the bimbo from California “San Fran Nan” instead of her constitutionally designated title.
Granted, for me there are times to use both, as Governor, Sarah Palin killed the bridge to nowhere for example.
The title is needed because it is a official act that is being discussed, however when things like her family or what have you are being hashed out, Sarah to me would be fine.
Sarah used to feed her family mooseburgers made from the moose Sarah hunted.
The media doesn’t use Governor for strategic reasons, they would prefer to use “Mayor of Wasilla” as it diminishes her accomplishments as Governor.
While Greta was doing her reports from Alaska last week, she asked almost everyone she interviewed, “Do you call her Gov. Palin or Sarah?”. Every single person said, “I call her Sarah.”. Greta always said, “I can’t find anyone that calls her Gov. Palin.” (She didn’t say this in any derogatory way. I think Greta was trying to convey the closeness Alaskans feel for their Governor.)
You are correct soon it will be VP Palin, for now if we meet her at rallies it is Gov. Palin.
But in our hearts she will always be "Sarah".
Glenn Beck was the first to notice this phenomena with his callers always referring to her as Sarah.
Wouldn’t it be great: the first piece of new legislation should be a law that mandates all liberals must address her as Veep Palin, while conservatives still may refer to her as “Sarah”.
I think you are correct. It lends an air of credibility to her and that's the last thing the MSM wants.
As to the use of the title here, I think most of us identify with her and think of her as a friend who we'd like to get to know better. (I know I would, especially if she were unmarried and had a yen for old ex-university professors, but I digress.) In that case, I think the use of her name sans title, or even Sarah, is appropriate.
People are funny about titles. Some of my colleagues insist that everyone refer to them by their title (e.g., "Doctor", "Professor") while others are indifferent about it. Personally, I preferred my students use my title (either Dr. or Prof.) because of the mentor-student relationship, but I could care less about anyone else. As to Sarah, I'll bet she falls into the "I-could-care-less" category.
Actually liberals will prefer to call her Governor, The word “Sarah” strikes fear into them
‘Call me Sarah, Simply Sarah”
This is what she wants and that should be what she gets. When you have become a one name phenomonen you do not need or want the Title to go with it. You have respect beyond the office.
If you called her Palin then that would be disrespectful.
Sarah is what she wants.
In the South we often use a special title for people we feel close to yet hold in respect - Mrs. Sarah or Governor Sarah.
It has been said that part of her charm is that she is known as Sarah.
I refer to her as Gov. Palin as a sign of respect. She fought for and won the title and, by calling her “Sarah”, even though we have adopted her as one of us, she is still entitled to be addressed as “Governor”.
The left calls her “Sarah” as a sign of derision, the way that we refuse to address Hillary by her title. “biatch”!!
Ok, I was kidding on that last line. If any of us respected Hillary, we would address her by her title of “Senator”.
So, Governor Palin is the proper way to address her for now.
In a couple of months, we can drop the whole “governor” thing.
Because she’ll be “Vice-President” Palin, then.
