"In response to a Boston Globe article today, the Palin camp has been forced to clarify exactly where Sarah Palin traveled in her July 2007 trip to the Middle East to visit Alaskan National Guard troops"
"Last summer, Governor Palin traveled to Kuwait where she visited Alaskan National Guard troops deployed to the war in Iraq at Camp Arifjen.
While she was there she traveled to the K Crossing on the Kuwait-Iraq border, and a quarter mile into Iraq. According to the General who traveled with her, while she was there she presided over a re-enlistment ceremony of an Alaskan National Guard soldier.
En route back to the United States, she traveled to the Ramstein Air Base in Germany. While in Germany, Governor Palin visited wounded soldiers at the Landstuhl military hospital."
"Tommy Vietor, Obama campaign spokesman responded strongly to the initial report that Palin did not cross the border into Iraq:
"They said she visited Iraq, but today we learned that she only stopped at the border. Americans are starting to wonder, is there anything the McCain campaign isnt lying about?"

She’s all up in their OODA Loop! She’s doing the Icky Shuffle in their OODA Loop!
Sarah Palin to Obama campaign:
I’m in yer OODA loops
Pwnin’ yer message
I don't recall ever seeing anything like it! This morning there has been the weirdest looking stream of whine and cheese from the Dem side with the Repub counterparts defending against something that is akin to a grade school playground fight.
Quite telling, and I would hope the idiot voting masses can see right through it, but ya never can tell.......
This is absolutely a liberal trick as I remember it well during the Kerry campaign. Like spaghetti, throw anything against the wall and see if it sticks. And usually the first read is taken as gospel; the rebuttal may not even be heard. Between the lies and voter fraud, we have to be a bit worried.
Good angle!!
Since the general says she was in Iraq to oversee a reenlistment ceremony so I'd say that's it: "Case closed. She was in Iraq."
How quick you were to assume a staffer for Palin screwed up.
I love that they're talking about her time as governor because, you know, they can't talk about Obama's executive experience because he doesn't have any! The best they can do? "He's run a big campaign." "He was the Messiah, err, I mean a community organizer like Jesus Christ."
Ever notice whenever the Democrats say someone lied it’s they who are actually lying?
The dems are already suffering from an acute case of Bush psychosis. Now they have a serious bout of Palin pathology. According to an AP story in my local paper today, Biden was quoted saying he would take a more active role in the Onada campaign. That role would be to take on McCain. Does that mean Onada is going to continue taking on Gov. Palin? Or does it mean both Biden and Onada were going to concentrate on McCain? Interestingly, my local paper gave virtually no coverage to Palin’s Friday night Gibson interview. There was one sentence in the Biden story today simply stating that it occured. I thought the dems were finally getting over the Palin feeding frenzy and were making a tactical decision to ignore her. The objective: Get her off the front page and out of the news broadcasts. Now I read that they’re lying about her Iraq visit. When are we going to hear about what the dems stand for and they really intend to do if they win the White House? This nonsense about Palin’s Iraq visit offers no advantage to the dems. They will get little or no crossover by pubbie voters. Actually it is more likely to energize the conservative base to vote on Nov 4. Those dem women who have already decided to vote McCain/Palin— because they are turned off by the sexism, meanness and triteness of the dem spinsters—will only become more disgusted with their party. Ignoring Palin is the dems best means of neutralizing her, but they just can’t do it. Too much visceral hate on their side.
Psychiatrists call that “projection”.
Kerry was miles into Cambodia on Christmas day.
To send her now would be a transparent reaction to Obama’s campaign - a bad idea, IMO.
I've been taught not to hate people, but Obama is making me have an internal struggle with his blatant and opportunistic LIES.
It was SEARED into his memory! Nixon sent him!
LMAO...that alone should have taken down the fraud if the media wasn’t filled with ideological perverts.
I think he won the primary by getting all his opponents removed from the ballot. He first challenged the filing of his main contender, that succeeded, so he went after all of them, and succeeded.
And just who would force him to do that? Not only will that not happen, the MSM would not relate it.
Obie’s first trip to Iraq was in January 2006.
Vietor= Quota Hire.
He meets the moron quota
Thanks newzjunkey. She went to the border checkpoint, and apparently hasn’t claimed she actually entered Iraq. The Obama campaign meanwhile has called McCain a “liar” because of this claim that Governor Palin didn’t make. :’) Which makes Obama a liar by the very same standard — actually, a tighter standard, since the campaign made it in Obama’s name.
Why would he even want to appear on such a show? I don’t know how politicians do it. If I was a politician with a 99% approval rating, I would be absolutely devastated and depressed that 1% did not approve of me. I could never get on a show and be called a liar without getting extremely upset (both angry and sad). Yet these politicians all have huge disapproval ratings and continue. Amazing.
