Pakistan order to kill US invaders

Bruce Loudon, South Asia correspondent | September 13, 2008

KEY corps commanders of Pakistan's 600,000-strong army issued orders last night to retaliate against "invading" US forces that enter the country to attack militant targets.

The move has plunged relations between Islamabad and Washington into deep crisis over how to deal with al-Qa'ida and the Taliban

What amounts to a dramatic order to "kill the invaders", as one senior officer put it last night, was disclosed after the commanders - who control the army's deployments at divisional level - met at their headquarters in the garrison city of Rawalpindi under the chairmanship of army chief and former ISI spy agency boss Ashfaq Kayani.

Leading English-language newspaper The News warned in an editorial that the US determination to attack targets inside Pakistan was likely to be "the best recruiting sergeant that the extremists ever had", with even "moderates" outraged by it.

The "retaliate and kill" order came amid reports of unprecedentedly fierce fighting in the Bajaur Agency of Pakistan's tribal areas, an al-Qa'ida stronghold frequently mentioned as the most likely lair of Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri.

Seems to me they really don’t want to do this.

Does Obama still want to unilaterally invade?

What was Obama's policy regarding Pakistan again?

Oh yes, that's right. He said he would attack targets inside Pakistan with or without the approval of the Pakistani government.

Cheers!

This sounds more like a MSM order to prevent the Bush Admin from taking ObamaBinLaden prior to the Nov 4 election so as to boost OsamaBinBiden in his election chances.

Unless the Pakis want to attack us in Afghanistan or Iraq, I wasn’t aware we were physically on their holy ground. Last time I checked, our drones were doing all the damage with “death from above” vs. boots on the ground. Hey, we’ll take on all comers, especially if they want to meet allah.
These ragheads want their cake and eat it too, and now that Musharaff boogied to save his own a## (don’t blame him although his timing sucks) we’ll have to contend with them. Let’s face it, they hate us, always have, always will. So deal with it, and stop letting them into the U.S., the worst possible thing we could ever do. I say live and let live, as long as they’re living over there, not here. Ever.

Apparently, you've been busy.

Google on something to the effect of "Special Forces Pakistan".

Great, lovely irony. He's boxed himself in. How unsurprising.

The same thing was said about Iraq. Total nonsense! Kill the terrorists wherever we find them!

President Bush signed an order at the beginning of this summer authorizing Spec Ops to enter Pakistan and attack HVTs (High Value Targets). We’ve since done this at least twice that I am aware of. But we’re doing it because the Paki’s won’t do the dirty work themselves. The paki’s have taken out some Taliban, but its under duress... they’d rather not do anything.

I say if the Paki’s won’t clean up their mess, and their mess is trying to kill our guys, we should not give the bad guys safe haven. Screw the Pakis.

Obviously. Thanks for filling in my blanks. I’ve been less attentive than I should be. Shame on me. As for dealing with these mohammedans, in the end, they’ll stick together as a tribe as they always have. Whoever bribes them best, they’ll follow. F’em before they F’ us.

Seems to me they really don’t want to do this.

Maybe they should rember these famous words:

"I'm afraid we have awakened a sleeping giant and filled it with terrible resolve."

or maybe these:

"You're either with us or against us in the fight against terror."

Naturally, in the end they can’t really pursue and destroy other followers of mohammed. They will never be our ally, quit dreaming and start destroying on their soil and keep them off ours.
