JOHN LENNON fantasised about having sex with his mother Julia, according to a leaked audio diary which it is claimed he recorded a year before his death.
His widow YOKO ONO and BEATLES bandmate PAUL McCARTNEY are furious about forthcoming book John Lennon: The Life by Philip Norman, which makes the lurid accusation.
However on the tape - which you can listen to by clicking here- a voice alleged to be Johns can be heard noting: I was just remembering the time I had my hand on my mothers t*t in 1 Blomfield Road.
It was when I was about 14.
I took a day off school, I was always doing that and hanging out in her house.
We were lying on the bed and I was thinking I wonder if I should do anything else?
The audio recorded on September 5 1979 continues: It was a strange moment, because I actually had the hots for some rather lower class female who lived on the other side of the road.
Mum ... Julia Lennon
I always think that I should have done it. Presuming she would have allowed it.

I love that song! So what's wrong with that? I'd like to know. :-P
"The Rain, The Park and Other Things" by The Cowsills--Never heard of it.
"California Dreaming" by Mamas and Papas--you're kidding, right?
Exsqueeze me? You know this from where?
Lennon and Mccartney were songwriting geniuses. There are different levels of genius obviously. Willam Faukner was a genius but not on a level with Shakespeare and Milton. ‘She’s Leaving Home’ was Mccartney btw. Birthday was both of them. Let it Be and The Long and Winding Road aren’t very good songs!
Yoko was his punishment....
hahahha!
Me, too ... until I noticed the SPELLING of “Lennon”,
wasn’t “Lenin” ...

LOL .... I’ve had more coffee since then, what some? ;-P
I’m not anonymous really.....I could ping over 20 folks here who know me personally...at least.
like you just said...relax
Oh, for the love of Pete.
Complete meltdown here.
Ahhh,but genius is pain.
Band on the Run...the actually song....was ok.
I like a lot of Harrison’s stuff....it had a real personal feel to it...like Dark Horse. Course a lot of it was in the haze of heroin addiction.
Early Beatles was just pop tune after pop tune but it was different and catchy and then the mop haired cult thing took off.
I probably like most critics liked Revolver and Rubber Soul and White Album best but admittedly today I don’t go looking for their tunes on youtube to listen to
as time moved I found their evil twins the Stones so much better aging....
i have noticed too as I got older just how much of the WWII era Brit minstrel-dance hall singing stuff influenced them with the goofy lyrics and arrangement at times...both Lennon and McCartney seemed to like that as much as say Ray Davies...
Ringo....who played here two weeks ago at a small club venue called the Wild Horse seems to have had the best personal life afterwards..

good post

You prove my point.
The Beatles so dominated the scene during those years that there is a treasure trove of great music that is basically unknown to most people today (except those who lived through those times and ventured away from Top 40 music).
You should check out those two songs above. Both of them are pop gems that stand the test of time very well. Now the Cowsills were basically a bubblegum band (the Partridge Family were based on their story) but "Rain, The Park and Other Things" was a great song.
As for "California Dreaming," yeah, the band broke up soon afterwards with many of them descending into drugs and misery, but that was one great pop song.
One day, I actually paid attention to those lyrics and was horrified. What a dirt bag.
I think the Beatles had a lot of good songs but they were over-exposed.
Now you almost groan when you hear things like ‘yesterday’ becaues it has been done to death.
Freudian antidisestablishexistentialism. How gauche.
Bttt
