Media watchers are well-aware that it's not only words that can be used to spread propaganda, but oftentimes it's the pictures involved in the articles.
For months, people around the country have been noticing the always flattering photos of Barack Obama, and, by contrast, pictures that make John McCain either look older than what he is, or sickly...or even worse.
On Friday, the photography website PDNPulse published a virtual exposé about a professional photographer that admitted taking an intentionally diabolical looking picture of McCain that she hoped would be on the cover of October's Atlantic magazine (emphasis added throughout, photo courtesy The Atlantic, h/t NB reader Drew Hallowell):
When The Atlantic called Jill Greenberg, a committed Democrat, to shoot a portrait of John McCain for its October cover, she rubbed her hands with glee.
She delivered the image the magazine asked fora shot that makes the Republican presidential nominee look heroic. Greenberg is well known for her highly retouched images of bears and crying babies. But she didnt bother to do much retouching on her McCain images. I left his eyes red and his skin looking bad, she says.

During tonights 60’s music telethon on PBS (to raise money for PBS coffers), Vicki Lawrence from the old “Carol Burnett” TV show appeared as her character from “Mama’s Family.”
While in character, she urged people to send in money for PBS, and as her face went off camera, she quickly came back in front of the lense and wispered,
“You can put lipstick on a jerk, it’s still a jerk.”
I wanted to smash the TV.
Obama photos are shot as if he's some religious icon come down from the clouds to deliver us!
I thought his cheek had something to do with the Vietcong or his bout with skin cancer, but I’m not 100% sure.

Well, she could have been referring to 0bama...or Charlie Gibson....or any other man who has had the appearance of being sexist lately....or even all of them!
My sister thought Vicki Lawrence was referring to Obama but, being suspicious of Hollywood types to begin with, I thought it was a slam against Gov. Palin.
I know that feeling. I had flipped passed the golf channel and some commentator picked on a woman, perhaps a player, for know "Sarah" but not Joe Biden! He sneered to his cohost, "Do you think she's a Republican?"
I notice a lot of this sort of thing online where it doesn't matter how far afield the article topic is, it will contain at least one gushing remark about Obama and two caustic, snide remarks about McCain or Palin. I grit my teeth. Sometimes I complain, but often I'm overwhelmed how far beyond the pale they will go and can only just shake my head and walk away in exasperation.
Looks like she scrubbed her website. All of the outrageous photos are gone.
Yet another 3AM phone call.
You did what? Get those pictures off the web or you'll never work in this town again.
Too late. []bama's demented followers have done it to him again.
How nice of her to provide visual aids that so vividly illustrate the MSM’s warped leftist bias.
The left is in quicksand, the harder they struggle the deeper they sink.
I just went to the site and they’re still there.
I think a lot of liberals like Greenberg could actually be reasonable, clear headed people once they hit puberty.
:)
The problem is they never reach that point.
They are EMOTIONALLY stunted. Physically they look like adults when they are still children.
That explains why porn is such a big business ...
