Belittling John McCain as a relic of the disco age, Democrat Barack Obama pushed his campaign Friday to a new level of counter-punching "on the issues that matter" and directed his running mate to be tougher on their Republican opponents.

The changes come as national polls find McCain and his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, pulling ahead of Obama and Joe Biden, prompting some jittery Democrats to implore them to fight back harder, and Obama's camp to pledge "speed and ferocity" in that effort.

Obama has his history and timelines a little confused. The president during the disco era, while Obama apparently was busy with bong hits and snorting coke, was none other than Jimmy Carter. Like Obama, Carter was a president of retreat and malaise.

John McCain endured more pain and suffering in those 5 years as a POW than most of us would in a life time... and he survived.
Only a fool would not recognize that God's hand was on his life and brought John McCain through the valley of the shadow of death.

Don’t know what to make of John McCain’s Faith Prophet, it did not receive much coverage but as a POW and 2nd in command, he was charged with leading Services, and apparently he knew the Book of Common Prayer be wrote memory.

He led songs etc on Christmas.

I’ve only read that one time though.

I do think the Lord’s Hand is on John McCain’s life, and it has to do with Illegals becoming legal, and the Lord’s announcement in Deut about not following Him and giving your land to another group of people.

At the moment, I cannot recall Chapter and Verse, I believe it is around Deut 27.

In my view, we should be greatfull that they are Roman Catholics and not Muslims like the Europeans are suffering through.

Fauxbama is without a doubt the STUPIDEST MAN EVER to have a presidential campaign as a party candidate.

The retirees and elderly are the MOST RELIABLE VOTING BLOCK IN THIS COUNTRY.. mocking your opponent for being old and out of date is the absolutely STUPIDEST thing you could do. This sort of attack may win you some arrogant youth votes who think the old bring nothing to the table, but it will absoultely backfire and turn off the largest and most reliable voters on the planet.

All I keep hearing from the defenders and backers of this guy is how intelligent and how much of an intellect he is... I’m sorry, but if this guy is what passes for an intellectual these days, then God help the human race. This guy may be good at ‘thinking’ but he’s God awful and drawing reasonable conclusions from all that thought.

Send this guy back to the intramural coeds where he belongs, he isn’t remotely ready for the majors.

Well... we both don't know much of his faith... but, someone who endured through all of that must have had God's hand on them.. and could have been possible that God used John McCain as a instrument to bring Sarah Palin to the right place in time in history ?
One mistake we make is to assume the people that GOD used in Bible history were perfect, and pure as the white driven snow, they were not... they were not perfect,but, willing to have faith and trust GOD to use them.
