While watching the Sarah Palin interview with Charlie Gibson Thursday night, and the coverage of the Palin phenomenon in general, Ive gotten the scary feeling, for the first time in my life, that dimwittedness is not just on the march in the U.S., but that it might actually prevail.
How is it that this woman could have been selected to be the vice presidential candidate on a major party ticket? How is it that so much of the mainstream media has dropped all pretense of seriousness to hop aboard the bandwagon and go along for the giddy ride?

They’re going to have to put a straight jacket on Herbert on Nov 4th as the networks keep projecting more and more states going for McCain/Palin.
Speaking of dimwitts Bob, you have to be one of the biggest dimwitts working for the NY Slimes. And that’s saying a lot.
Keep publishing these articles NY Slimes, you are only having the effect of moving more and more women over to the McCain camp.

How is it that this woman could have been selected to be the vice presidential candidate on a major party ticket? How is it that they are so concerned over this issue with Governor Palin, but never ask the same question about B Hussein Obama, a man who has spent barely a year in the Senate before campaigning full-time for the presidency, and before that was simply a state senator who voted present over half the time?

Herbert is an African-American. He’s just doing and saying what the DNC trained him to do and say.

Dimwittedness? Is that even a word?
Spellcheck came up with dementedness as an alternative. Fits the author. LOL

In other words, Dean Slaughter gave the same answer as did Palin. Palin gave the perfect response. The Bush Doctrine is not a well defined term and Gibson's understanding isn't even the current conventional wisdom of what it means.
