Just when it seems the Democrats can't sink any lower, they manage to surprise you.. What the Obama ad fails to mention is that the reason McCain can't a computer is probably because his arms were broken when he was shot down over North Vietnam in 1967. His injuries were exacerbated when the communists refused him medical care and then tortured him repeatedly during the five and a half years McCain spent as POW in Hanoi. According to an article in the Boston Globe in the year 2000... McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain's severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard You have to wonder, though, why the Obama campaign didn't do the very basic research to find out why McCain can't use a computer.

Anybody know if the BO campaign has pulled the ad yet? I’m in CO and haven’t seen it. We usually see everything so I was wondering.
BO is probably hoping he can call a Mulligan on this on. It doesn’t seem to be McCain’s style to refer to his war injuries as excuses in any way so don’t wait for a campaign response on this one.
The “pig” issue got a campaign response because chivalry is part of McCain’s character and style.
If the issue is to get any traction and damage BO, it will have to be pushed from outside the campaign-sympathetic media, bloggers, veterans groups, etc.

Stephen Hawking is dissabled and chooses to use a computer. That does not mean he experiences pain when he does so. McCain suffers real pain trying when trying to use the keyboard. Do your research.

McCain has said he can type, but it’s very slow and laborious with his arm injuries. He responds to e-mail by having his wife Cindy type for him.

Maybe the aging process has just made it harder and harder in conjunction with his injuries. The damage could have been degenerative.
Injuries get worse with age. Haven't you heard of all the NFL players who can't walk now, or have other physical problems?
Your question is along the lines of "How can those football players be injured now, I saw them playing football on some old game film."

Good question. Answer: with pain. McCain feels it is worth feeling a few seconds of pain to show respect to our troops.
Obama feels it is worth a few minutes of smirking pleasure to mock McCain and all disabled vets.
