To say that John McCain doesn't know how to use a computer or email due to war injuries is just silly.

Yes, it was stupid of Obama to say McCain doesn't know how to use a computer. Obviously,
he does. But he has difficulty typing on a keyboard due to his war wounds. So it's a double gaffe.
To: Lijahsbubbe
Erm, why is it silly? Doing a quick signature on a book is a far cry from typing on a keyboard for hours.

To say that John McCain doesn't know how to use a computer or email due to war injuries is just silly. You are kidding, aren't you. Do you not see the strain on his face? For how many seconds at a time have you ever seen him reach his hands out any further than this?

You're being silly. Look at the picture you posted..the man is not comfortable...the raised shoulder is a favoring of pain. I noticed it months ago and thought it was just old age stiffening but there's a track record going back years of him complaining about it.
Furthermore, I'm an IT director for a 500 person company and have been exposed to a surprising number of people who seem perfectly normal in all respects but are in pain after typing 10 minutes. Typing is very unnatural so if you have any chronic shoulder, arm, wrist or finger problems, you can experience pain almost immediately at a computer.
That being said, I still wish McCain was a conservative.

NOBODY with any credibility ever said he doesn’t know HOW; the actual TRUTH is that the long-term results of the injuries Senator McCain suffered in Viet Nam make TYPING a laborious, and painful exercise, so he CHOOSES NOT TO do it.
Signing a book is a far cry from typing; even something as brief as this post.
But go back and look at the picture you posted.
See the raised shoulder? Note the leaning to the side in order to get the shoulder up, and elevate the arm sufficiently?
People with full function of their arms don’t lean to the side when they raise an arms; they simply raise the arm.
Your world is thick with clues to a reality you’ve never seen. Get one.

1: that's not a keyboard, it's a pen. 2: Though I wasn't beaten by the Viet Cong, I have arthritis in my hands badly enough that there are days when I can barely type and can't write at all. I recognize that expression on his face, you see. It's hard to write or type when your fingers won't bend and you have to consciously direct each little movement.
Your post shows an ignorance similar to that of whatever wit in the Obama campaign came up with the sneering "can't use the internet" ad.

“Most tech savy Senator.” He knows how to use one, just admits that he’s slow at it. His wife types his responses when they go over his email every night.

Oops, thought you were quoting some libdolt’s point. “Moron” was directed at them. Re-read posts and now can’t tell. If it’s your own post, then I retract and instead suggest you read up on (a) what McCain actually does with his e-mail and (b) what McCain’s actual tech savy is (i.e., very high).

Generally speaking, in a side by side comparison of someone who is disabled, and someone who is not, one would expect to feel sorry for the disabled person.
However, in this case it is you I feel sorry for.
