Candidates Call End to Truce With Attack Ads

Barack Obamas campaign, declaring today is the first day of the rest of the campaign, unleashed a new ad mocking John McCain as computer illiterate Friday in a fresh attempt to shake his rivals sudden lead in the polls.
The ad, coupled with one from the McCain campaign accusing Obama of being disrespectful toward his running mate, effectively ended the one-day truce on Sept. 11 and signaled the candidates would spend the next 53 days on the offensive.
The Obama ad blatantly mocks his 72-year-old rival as being confused by modern technology.
Things have changed in the last 26 years. But McCain hasnt. He admits he still doesnt know how to use a computer, cant send an e-mail, the narrator says. After one president who was out of touch, we just cant afford more of the same.
The ad includes unflattering footage of McCain at a hearing in the early 80s, wearing giant glasses and an out-of-style suit, interspersed with shots of a disco ball, a clunky phone, an outdated computer and a Rubix Cube.

When “W” became POTUS he said what he missed most was being able to send e-mails to all his friends. Apparently the POTUS is NOT ALLOWED to send e-mails, so, McCain won’t have a problem. I guess OBABBLER thinks that he can just e-mail away from the Oval Office anytime he chooses! What an IDIOT!!!!................
Presidents can’t e-mail anyway, so what’s his point? McCain won’t have a problem with it........Remember “W” said that what he missed most was being able to e-mail his friends, now that he was POTUS. OBABBLE must think that as POTUS he can just sit at the desk in the oval office and e-mail anybody he pleases.........
If WJC had used email, he would have been toast as it would have left the tracks of all of his efforts to suborn perjury and get Vernon Jordan, Betty Currie and others to cover up his semen-stained tracks in the Lewinsky affair.
Of course, absent clear evidence that Clinton was a right-wing evangelist Republican, even a smoking gun such as hundreds of emails may not have sufficed to persuade enough Democrats to convict him of an impeachable offense.
