It's a day late, but still a worthwhile read.

In that spirit, South Carolina Democratic Chairwoman Carol Fowler, told politico.com that Palin's "primary qualification seems to be that she hasn't had an abortion." If I were Obama, I'd stow the Swift boat laments.
Swiftboating requires true facts, of which, the Rats have NONE!

It is incredible how much of this stuff Obama brings on himself and then gets used against him by the more savvy McCain. The master is giving the apprentice a lesson in politics.

I hope Hussein keep whining about being 'swiftboated'.

First, it shows him to be a WHINER.

Second, it reminds everyone of how similar he is to John Kerry.

Third, he loses more of what little support in the military he has (as the swiftees were military men--good, honest, and decent).

Fourth, it reminds most people (except for the loonies on the far left)--that what the Swiftees said was "FACT"!

Keep it up, Hussein.

Now maybe Palin will stumble and show the country that she is not ready to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. But the Democrats can’t wait for that day, or limit the debate to the issues,

because they want so much to destroy this backwoods upstart.

I see that the Chronicle decided to enter the time-consuming “vacuous debate,” but maybe they consider themselves eminently qualified.

I call Obama on the “phony outrage”. How could he NOT see that, assuming he didn’t mean to call her a pig, how could he NOT see how a reasonable person might think that? He should have simply apologized and left it at that.

"Swiftboating" poor John F-onda Kerry...

John Kerry, from his book, The New Soldier
"We will not quickly join those who march on Veterans' Day waving small [American] flags, calling to memory those thousands who died for the 'greater glory of the United States.'..."

"The John Kerry quote comes in the epilogue to "The New Soldier," the book put out by Vietnam Veterans Against the War [VVAW]. The book's cover features a group of not-particularly sober-looking anti-war protesters (vets, presumably) flying the American flag upside down [while mocking the historic flag raising event at Iwo Jima]":
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1203164/posts

Note John Kerry's name at top right of The New Soldier

"We will not quickly join those who march on Veterans' Day waving small (American) flags, calling to memory those thousands who died for the 'greater glory of the United States.' "

So John Kerry would have a difficult time marching with those waving small American flags yet had NO problems marching with those waving HUGE VIETCONG FLAGS?

"Pictured above: VVAW-supported demonstration during the Washington Spring Offensive, April - May 1971. Notice the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong flags."

From 1972: "I am not a do-gooder, I am a revolutionary. A revolutionary woman."

http://www.1stcavmedic.com/jane_fonda.htm

Fonda made the following statement at the University of Texas:
"We've got to establish a Socialist economic structure that will limit private profit-oriented businesses. Whether the transition is peaceful depends on the way our present governmental leaders react. We must commit our lives to this transition ...... We should be very proud of our new breed of soldier. It's not organized but it's mutiny, and they have every right." --Karen Elliott Dallas Morning News December 11, 1971

Photo link: "Jane Fonda and John Kerry at an anti-war rally in Valley Forge, Pa. (Leif Skoogfors/Corbis)"
http://www.snopes.com/photos/politics/kerry.asp

The photo is genuine. Here is what Jane Fonda herself had to say about it:

"My reaction is that the American people have had it with the big lie. Any attempt to link Kerry to me and make him look bad with that connection is completely false. We were at a rally for veterans at the same time. I spoke, Donald Sutherland spoke, John Kerry spoke at the end. I don't even think we shook hands."

Here's another photo showing Kerry, Ramsey Clark (US attorney general under democrat prez, LBJ, Al Hubbard (Black Panther member, who "appoint[ed] Kerry to the VVAW's Executive Committee") and, 'allegedly' Jane Fonda all together on stage at a (wink) "anti-war" rally.

June, 1970 -- Kerry joins Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), a national veterans group that is part of the Peoples Coalition for Peace and Justice. The PCPJ is a broad coalition of local and national organizations, including the Communist Party, USA, "committed to conducting demonstrations aimed at ending the war in Indochina, and poverty, racism and injustice at home." The VVAW, CCI and PCPJ all have headquarters at 156 Fifth Avenue in New York City. VVAW Executive Secretary Al Hubbard, a former **Black Panther, is also on the coordinating committee of the PCPJ. Hubbard soon appoints Kerry to the VVAW's Executive Committee, bypassing the normal election process.

November 22, 1970 -- During a fund-raising tour for GI deserters, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Black Panthers, Jane Fonda is quoted in the Detroit Free Press as telling a University of Michigan audience:

"I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would someday become communist," and "The peace proposal of the Viet Cong is the only honorable, just, possible way to achieve peace in Vietnam."

The Vietnam Veterans Against the War Assassination Plot --was John Kerry at the meeting or not?
(my title-etl)

"Mr. Kerry denies being present at the November 12-15, 1971, meeting in Kansas City of Vietnam Veterans Against the War, and says he quit the group before the meeting. But according to the current head of Missouri Veterans for Kerry, Randy Barnes, Mr. Kerry, who was then 27, was at the meeting, voted against the plot, and then orally resigned from the organization.

Mr. Barnes was present as part of the Kansas City host chapter for the 1971 meeting and recounted the incident in a phone interview with The New York Sun this week.

In addition to Mr. Barnes’s recollection placing Mr. Kerry at the Kansas City meeting, another Vietnam veteran who attended the meeting, Terry Du-Bose, said that Mr. Kerry was there.

There are at least two other independent corroborations that the 'antiwar' group Vietnam Veterans Against the War, of which Mr. Kerry was the most prominent national spokesman, considered assassinating American political leaders who favored [winning-etl] the war."
Article: John Kerry's Political Friends, by Thomas H. Lipscomb
The New York Sun | Monday, March 15, 2004
http://frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=12571

"Kerry has long been portrayed as not being at the Kansas City, Mo., meeting because Kerry recalled quitting the organization at an acrimonious July 1971 session, four months before the November meeting at which the assassination plot was discussed. But last week, the Kerry campaign seemed to leave open the possibility that he had attended the November session, after historian Gerald Nicosia said he had found an FBI document that he said indicated that Kerry was there. As a result of Nicosia's assertion, Kerry's campaign said in a statement that while Kerry did not remember being at the meeting, 'If there are valid FBI surveillance reports from credible sources that place some of those disagreements in Kansas City, we accept that historical footnote in the account of his work to end the difficult and divisive war.'..."
http://www.boston.com/news/politics/president/articles/2004/04/01/kerry_cant_recall_being_at_71_parley/

But if Kerry WAS there, he had to have heard the assassination plot being discussed! If so, how come he never reported it to anyone? Isn't it a serious crime not to report a murder plot?--especially when the targets are U.S. senators?? Also, he apparently continued on as a spokesman for VVAW months after the plot was discussed!-ETL

John Kerry and the VVAW--Hanoi's American Puppets?
"Two recently discovered documents captured from the Vietnamese communists during the Vietnam War strongly support the contention that a close link existed between the Hanoi regime and the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) while John Kerry served as the group's leading national spokesman."
