What in the hell is a computer?

That thing you're asking this question on.

Exactly, I am younger then Obama. I can turn this gizmo on, check the net and do a little HTML. I learned the HTML here on Free Republic. I have a cheat sheet.

If the computer does not do what it's supposed to do. Well.... I'm lost.

“I’m 63 and got my first IBM PC in 1981. Take that Barry! “

I’m 65 and I got my first mac in 85... Now I have a really neat MCBOOK air with a solid hard drive. Now if they would have a built in charger that would generate dc voltage by “shaking”, I would have a byproduct use of my “parkinson”

If that’s the best the Obama campaign has, they’re in more trouble than I originally thought they were.

Obama mocks...McCain computer illiterate...

LOL! I work in IT in a school district in FL - probably 70% of teachers ARE for the most part "computer illiterate" and they cannot type to save their lives.

Of that group, most are 50 yrs old and under.

McCain’s camp should run an ad with that picture of Obama holding the phone upside down. The 3 am phone call?

John may be computer illiterate...But Cindy is way ahead of many of us.

And WHY does John have to be computer literate anyways?

John's not running for CEO of Microsoft, he's running for President of the USA.

Is this some new requirement for President? I don't see it in the Constitution.

This guy is just stupid. Who does he think the most dependable voter is? NOT the youth! He just lost more of that vote that had not already slipped away from the dems because of his color (dems the racist party there is).

Please keep it up, please, please, please! It is like 5 year olds running his campaign, they do not even know their own voter or who normal Americans are any more because they are so surrounded with the crazy left and elitist.

McCain and the republicans started surging when they finally remembered who their base was and put Palin on the ticket. Know your voter.

Good observation!
Many executive types also have secretaries to do their leg work while they make the big decisions!

Using a computer is another tool we use everyday or it becomes another fashionable accessory.

Anybody can have a palm pilot.
Holding high tech marvel may help you look important but it doesn’t make you smarter.

We’re becoming too dependent on our high tech electronics and were becoming illiterate in other ways.

I noticed sixth graders do not memorize their times tables but rely on the calculators to solve all their problems. It’s a bad sign! People are not thinking for themselves.

The old fashioned ways of doing things still beats the new way of doing things. People still like things personal....like a hearty hand shake.

A lot of us are illerate with this computer stuff. But we have a good sense of history, because we READ and have lived through a lot of history. We even know what happened in 1812...in 1620...in 1918...no we weren’t there then. nobama doesn’t seem to know a lot about American History, or even his caucasian family history.
