The following three excerpts are from the ABC News exclusive interview with Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in Fairbanks, Alaska, conducted by "World News" anchor Charlie Gibson on September 11, 2008

Whats wrong with the Drudge Page? “Palin says she is ready to step in as president”. Seems pretty OK to me.
Palin gave Gibson the freed om to do a hard-hitting interview where he was able to ask follow-up questions to try to really nail down her position on issues. In 19 months, I have not seen anything close to this type of interview with Obama. Obama is constantly allowed to skate by with his platitudinal answers with no follow-up questions to nail him down. O’Reilly was the closest, and even he didn’t follow-up as much as Gidson did. All I ask for is fairness. I know, I know, it will never happen.
Is this going to be on TV tonight? I’m checking the ABC schedule and I see nothing?
If I would have clicked on the link....which I hate to show my face over there at abc....I would have seen the clips. Thanks for posting. She is great! Good girl.
I agree. She handled herself brilliantly. I am not surprised. I am full confidence in Sarah. I saw it in her the first time I saw her with Larry Kudlow on tv. Something inside me said she will be the first woman president of the UNited States. I believe it now.
Yes but you forget he went to Harvard and was a community. agitator I mean a community organizer.
It was on in the Chicagoland area on ABC World News at 5:30PM
I didn’t see the video of the interview but from the transcript, it seemed like Charlie was purposefully trying to get her into a situation where she might screw up.
Her answers in text seemed fine. If this is her worst interview, her opponents are going to have to try to find some other way to get to her because she definitely held her own.
He certainly was. So disgusting. Doubtful that he would use same tone in interview of Obama.
10 p.m. EST.
Dem voters will say, "what's hubris?"
Good stuff. It would only be better if she added, “Did I stutter?”
Wasn’t Gibson the one who moderated a debate and p.o.’d all the Obamanauts? Maybe he’s just apologizing.
You are absolutely correct, leaving the first too qualifier words off changes the entire perspective of the sentence ... change it to what the blackhole media want to attack. This sort of ambush needs to be slammed all over the net to inform the American people because the old alphabet media is the enemy of this Republic!
There is only one thing positive about the condescension Gibson showed in his methodology in the interview: the condescension hits right squarely at the attitude Gibson and fellow l;iberal travelers will hold toward this Lady. She deflected this arrogant puffball Gibson with aplumb. It makes the base happy to see this idiot get handled by our Lady despite his condescension.
Oh, I think it is good he was tough. She can take it. When we put these side by side with the soft ball Obama interviews, and even with the O’Reilly interview...she looks the best. The best against the Presidential nominee.
Let’s put her against Biden! LOL!
I love Biden! I keep his hits on my computer, so I can laugh and laugh....he is hillarious!
Thank you for posting the entire quote - I saw the video of it last week and when I first heard it, it was perfectly stated - It certainly has been take out of the context.
I don’t mind hard questions, I just don’t like unfair questions, questions with quotes taken out of context, and misleading or false interpretations of her answers to his questions.
I have been trying to find Gibson’s interview with Obama, so that we can do a side by side.
Check out the difference! Obama when he first came on the national scene. check it out, fair?
