Dail Kos kid did too:
“Gandhi was a community organizer. Jesus. Martin Luther King Jr. Gloria Steinhem. Moses. Mother Theresa! Every Precinct committee person for their local party is a community organizer. And we all have actual responsibility.” http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/4/141148/2106/244/586567 SO FAR, it appears Kos diarist may have been the instigator of this equation of Jesus with Obama, and Palin with Pontius Pilate. Do they realize how insulting this is?
Jesus was not a community organizer. He was the son of God sent to save mankind. He never protested Roman wage laws, got out the vote, or worked for a political machine.
He was put to death, however, not by Pilate, but by the demands of the crowd gathered and led by COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS in the form of the priests. Pilate washed his hands of the matter.
I'm not being anti-semite at all... truly.
Jewish people are still waiting for the savior.
I believe that Bill Clinton was a governor as was FDR. . hmmm, didn’t know there were so many Pontius Pilates in the democrat party.
I thought we all did that.
LOL!
No teleprompter?
Hitler was also a community organizer — if I’m not mistaken.

Re: “Excuse me, but wasnt it the jews, Steve Cohens relatives, that said crucify Him? Perhaps Mr Cohen is our Judas!”
As a person of Jewish identity, I really don’t appreciate a comment of this nature. It wasn’t “THE Jews,” it was SOME Jews, while OTHER Jews objected strongly although unsuccessfully. SOME medieval Christians behaved no better when a reformer (Martin Luther) came along and effectively threatened to overturn the money changers’ tables, because the powers-that-be rarely welcome reformers. In both cases, everybody involved has been dead for centuries, and no one except for Islamic supremacists kill people over religion in the 21st century.
Mr. Cohen should indeed have had better sense than to make this comparison, especially since LibDems published a flier that stated, “Memphis Congressman Steve Cohen and the JEWS HATE Jesus. So Memphis Christians must united and support ONE Black Christian to represent Memphis in the United States Congress in 2008.”
Of course, LibDems’ purported support for Jesus seems to end where issues like partial birth abortion and live birth abortion begin.
Re: “Actually, rtbwood, there were community organizers in the crowd similar to the plants in the Obama crowds who fainted and they started the crucify Him garbage which was picked up by the dumb clucks of all persuasions”
The Ku Klux Klan can be regarded as “community organizers.” After all, if a KKK-er in a sheet and hood persuades a community to lynch a black man, he has organized the community in an activity.
Al Sharpton also is a community organizer, as shown by his success in organizing racist and anti-Semitic mobs in Crown Heights and Harlem.
Congressman Cohen is a Jew. Perhaps he is ignorant of the way Christians feel about Jesus and Pilate, and thinks that Jesus, Pilate, why it’s like Democrats and Republicans. On the other hand, he might actually understand the depth to which he has insulted Republicans who are Christians, and thinks we’re like Pilate, Pharoah, Simon Legree, Adolf Hitler and who knows who else. This would explain why he wants to take away our money and take away our liberty.
Never attribute to intention what more readily fits incompetence.
0bama, being a socialist, encourages others to covet their neighbors’ wealth. 10th commandment.
He promises to confiscate that wealth. 8th commandment
He insinuates that the wealthy stole it in the first place. 9th commandment
He promotes the killing of the innocent. 6th commandment
He promotes sex ed to youngsters, tacitly approving of extramarital sex. 7th commandment
“All beliefs lead to God.” 1st commandment
He’s batting pretty good here.
Simon Legree was almost certainly a Democrat, because the Republicans wanted to abolish slavery.
:)
Considering Cohen is a Jew (marginally, anyway) and the Jews killed Jesus, is Cohen inferring that he will kill Obama, too?
Congressman Cohen has a stereotypically Jewish surname - however he was referencing some things “his” minister said in church on an interview the other day - so I don’t know if he is a practicing Jew or a Christian.
I do know that he is an unwiped as*hole.
He is also the originator of the legislation which apologized for slavery.
Saul Alinsky, based in Chicago, is credited with originating the term "community organizer" during this time period. Alinksy wrote two books: Reveille for Radicals, published in 1946; and Rules for Radicals, published in 1971, which was adopted as a "bible" by many radical activists.
The following groups are examples of community organizing in the United States and Canada:
Bill Clinton was a governor.
