Are You Too Dumb to Understand Evolution?
CreationEvolutionHeadlines ^ | September 10, 2008

Sept 10, 2008 — Astrobiologist David Deamer believes that life can spontaneously emerge without design, but he thinks lay people are too uneducated to understand how this is possible, so he gives them the watered-down version of Darwin’s natural selection instead, which he knows is inadequate to explain the complexity of life. That’s what he seemed to be telling reporter Susan Mazur in an interview for the Scoop (New Zealand). Is the lay public really too dense for the deeper knowledge of how evolution works?...

Oh the wailing. Stop before your fingers bleed.

I suspect they're mostly macros.

If you want me to respond to your replies, please refrain from throwing up all over the thread with unformatted gibberish, and please provide a link to your information unless the source is obvious. Thank you.

And a good sciene teacher actually teaches science

I have no idea what this thread is about, but I hope you aren't a "scientist"

You might want to start with speling first......

Okay, how about it? You have your ideas about your “Creator” that are apparently different from mine. The idea seems to be the my rights came from your Creator, and I owe you for that.

Well, you know, we all want to change the world

Don’t look now but it’s not my side having to run off to find a judge so we don’t have to be OOOOOOFFEN—DED every time someone sneezes “Merry Christmas” their way!

==Now the scientists are in league with the Islamic terrorists.

I think it would be more accurate to say that many materialist/Marxist/socialist/Darwinist revolutionaries are taking out their frustration on Western civilization by masquerading as Islamic terrorists; or, in some cases, are carrying out terrorist attacks for explicitly secular purposes, but are still (much to their chagrin) being characterized by the media as extemists motivated by the religion of Islam.

You can like or not like my religion as you wish. You probably figure my son would be a lot better off with yours, so you need to get to him early before he has a chance to learn about mine.

More projections.

All I’ve ever wanted is both our sons to think for themselves.

Education is just like everything else, all participate, all have a voice in a democracy.

The godless atheists don’t own science.

or history.

or education all together.

or journalism.

or above all, this country.

Which brings me to this idiocy about teaching kindergartners sex education.

Speaking of “getting to them early”...

Shouldn’t the parents be teaching them...
let’s see what was Rachel Maddow’s excuse for the ObamaNation...”that adults shouldn’t be touching their private parts”?

For all this disingenuous proselytizing theocracy tripe, do you think it’s OK for a stranger to be teaching sex ed to kindergarteners...or teaching them it’s OK to have two dads?

Oh, I almost forgot. Many materialist/Marxist/socialist/Darwinist revolutionaries masquerade as Christians. A perfect example would be Barack Obama, his “pastor”, and the terrorist “liberation” theology movement in Central America, South America and Africa. Oh, and let’s not forget the IRA.

Having God or Christ mentioned in a textbook is not the establishment of a religion and it is the free exercise thereof. Please note the restrictions on who and what it may do. It’s only Congress and they are specifically prevented from making laws either establish a religion or to prohibit the free exercise thereof. Therefore, if they make a law concerning creation, (which the evos state is a religion) they are violating the Constitution.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Well you had them in league with Christians because they believe in creationism earlier!

Earlier we went through the Hitler stuff too...I’ve even heard atheists argue that Hitler was a Christian merely because he read scripture in Nuremberg.

Well, that explains that business in Afghanistan between the Islamic fundamentalists and the Russians.

That’s what’s called an “appeal to authority”. Generally not well regarded as objective evidence, but it is a well known and documented propaganda ploy.

But scientists never do that, now do they?

And you don't do that when you site sources to back up what you have to say. Right?

And none of your non-scientist evo-is-just-a-hobby-for-me compatriots don't do that either when they take the evo side with no background in it themselves. Right?

Good news? Doom, gloom, threats, accusations and recriminations. Your good news is a shower of perjorative confetti and epithets.

Ummmm... again it’s your side banning Christmas trees in schools because they’re ‘too offensive’...asserting ‘Christmas’ itself is ‘too offensive’ for school calendars...

your projections are simply pathological! And your hypocrisy is shameless.

How about these scientists?

Say, are you one of those gals that believes Sarah Palin is a step backwards for women?

Actually, many Afghani Islamic “fundamentalists” happily worked hand-in-glove with Soviet atheists to set up a Communist dictatorship in Afghanistan. But how could that be??? That would be impossible, right????

But scientists never do that, now do they?

I imagine a few of them have tried it. Clinton used to be good at that kind of argument. He'd get caught doing something and he'd find a case where some past President had done something similar, and argue that if somebody else got away with it he should get a free pass too. I didn't buy it from him, either.
