Olbermann: Republicans have hijacked 9/11
MSNBC ^ | 09/10/2008 | By Keith Olbermann

Posted on 09/11/2008 7:11:00 AM PDT by GLH3IL

But 9/11 has become a brand name. A Republican campaign slogan. Propaganda of the lowest form. 9/11 has become 9/11 with a trademark logo.

9/11 (TM) has sustained a president who long ago should have been dismissed, or impeached. It has kept him and his gang of financial and constitutional crooks in office without — literally — any visible means of support.

The political party in office at the time of the attacks, at the local, state and national levels, the party which uniformly ignored the warnings and the presidential administration already through twenty percent of its first term and no longer wet behind the ears, have not only thus far escaped any blame for the malfeasance and criminal neglect that allowed the attacks to occur, but that presidency and that party, have managed to make it seem as if the other political party would be solely and irredeemably responsible for any similar catastrophe in the future.

And his childish, squealing, braying, Tourette’s-like repetition of 9/11 (TM), was greeted not as conclusive evidence that he is consumed by massive guilt - hard-earned guilt, in fact but rather as some kind of political tour-de-force, an endorsement of your Vice Presidential nominee, a rookie governor , a facile and slick con artist.

All of this, sadistically disrespecting the dead of New York, and Washington, and Shanksville.

And yet of course the exact moment in which Sen. McCain’s Republicans showed the nation exactly how far they have fallen from the Better Angels of Mr. Lincoln’s Nature, came the next night.

What we got was not a tribute to the dead of 9/11, nor even a tribute to the responders, or the singularity of purpose we all felt. The Republicans gave us sociological pornography, a virtual snuff film.

Keith who? What’s MSNBC? Seriously though, I love my DirecTV because I can remove channels that I don’t like from the guide. MSNBC has been long gone from my TV.

And, not surprisingly, the Olbermann address just kicked back my message.

Unfortunately, these people are under the impression that the majority of the country is liberal. They keep thinking, “Hey, once people find out about us, we’ll be bigger than Fox News.”

The constant adoration they get from the Kosmonauts, Dummies and Huffer-Puffers allows MSNBC to live in its own little world. If liberals have anything, it’s plenty of free time to e-mail their heroes.

Funny thing is, according to some ratings/polls posted here in the past, more Democrats watch Fox News than watch CNN, much less MSNBC.

Unfortunately, Olbermann relishes his hatred from the right. He feeds off is and asks for seconds.

Kinda like I could care less what a liberal thinks.

Sure, lots of them. Controlled by government bureaucrats, most of them Democrats.

Olbermann can keep appealing to his small, but vocal, audience of left-wing cranks. The rest of us can ignore him and go about our business.

I presume you meant that you couldn't care less what a liberal thinks. That's fine.

I'm not letting him go unanswered.

Olbermann may be the most radical talking head-anchor I think there ever was.

Problem is he is dumb as rocks....not well educated.

He just spews Mother Jones rhetoric non stop....too much even for Chrissy and Dan Abrams.

and that’s saying something.

“the presidential administration already through twenty percent of its first term and no longer wet behind the ears”

Well poor ignorant stubborn Keith,
He was only 20 percent through his first term, but lets not forget that he was dealing with 8 years of inaction, irresponsibility, and cowardice from the former president who if the said former president had acted with the same conviction of Bush...there never would have been a 9/11

Has anyone seen what MSNBC is televising today? It is a complete replay of the entire 9/11/01 event. Does the left hand at NBC know what the left is doing. Olbermann, it seems, has just left reality to another dimension.

It is appropriate.....it is not appropriate.....it is appropriate.....it is not appropriate.....which is it? And why does Olbermann believe he is the arbitor of propriety of rembrance of 9/11? NBC is absolutely nuts to keep this idiot on his program.
