It's so much fun reading the newspapers these days. The Sarah surge continues to dominate all the political news while the Palin-McCain er, McCain-Palin ticket is forging ahead in the polls.
But lets be fair. Even though Sen. McCain is now riding Gov. Palins skirt tails, he was the one who made the brilliant decision to put her on the ticket. And the louder the Left screams the better Sarah seems to do. So much better that for the first time the Intrade pay-to-play prediction market which long has had Obama winning by 20 to 25 points in November now shows a McCain lead. Unbelievable.

Sarah and McCain are the real deal. If they continue doing what McCain has been doing all along they will ascend the steps of Washington with the clearest most resounding Victory in decades.
Well not to worry, all the media hacks are giving O advice.
Get mad about what Bush has done to this country and how those two are just going to make it worse.
He has to stop mentioning Sarah and get mad.
Wonder if Rush will have a compilation of all the msm slugs saying the same thing.
With the argument that he is marginally more qualified. Which is not true, of course. And he's not even in the same Time Zone as McCain.
you’re right!
it’s funny. the hate bush stuff doesn’t work too well when barry’s now supporting the surge.
uh...duh!
bump
“John Fund writes about a 30-lawyer S.W.A.T. team of Obama Democrats descending on Alaska in search of dirt related to Palins.”
A 30 lawyer S.W.A.T. team of Obama Democrats — really!?! Seriously!?!
This is the lefts response to Governor Palin!?! That is just more of the same — that is not change!
Is the left really that incapable of comprehending just exactly how devastating moves like that are to their image. 30-lawyers?!? That is the punch line to a joke — not a campaign strategy?!?
Really? Seriously!?! 30-lawyers?!? Are you kidding me?
When will the left ever come to realize that “the” reason they will never win another Presidential election in this country is because of the extremely radical views from the folks on the far left;
Progressivism, Social liberalism, Social democracy, Left-libertarianism, Socialism, Syndicalism, Marxism, Communism, Autonomism and most forms of Anarchism.
Which all mean re-distribution of wealth - from those that have labored and worked hard to earn it — and re-distributed to those that have possibly made bad decisions and are paying the consequences for making bad decisions.
It is contrary to our very DNA to embrace weakness — it is simply un-American and un-Patriotic
American’s are always willing to lend a helping hand when called upon — but American’s are unwilling to maintain the steady flow of hand outs to those that take no personal ownership of themselves, their lives, and their family
in essence, if it isn’t important enough to you make good decisions — how does that become my responsibility.
In general, the left advocates a society where all people have an equal opportunity, which they often describe as a “level playing field”. Because of this, the left tends to support labor unions, worker cooperatives and sometimes communes.
Its emphasis on social change puts it in alliance with civil rights, feminist and green movements (which only now in 2008 has the veil of deception finally been ripped from its true face of liberalism — all its motives and objectives revealed).
Civil rights as packaged and sold was honorable — as it is used by the left, “only the left minorities” are entitled to civil rights — they simply do not apply to the minorities on the right.
Feminism, again, as packaged and sold - honorable — as we have recently discovered — unless one is a lesbian, democrat, or pro-abortion — feminism doesn’t apply.
The green movement — as make believe as Santa Clause.
The fact of the matter is — all American’s are created equal — its what we do as individuals that ultimately determine our course — with emphasis placed on personal responsibility and accountability.
Lawyers and class warfare and re-distribution of wealth, coupled with a weakened military and increased vulnerability to attack by enemy’s (both foreign and domestic) just does not appeal to American’s (maybe left American’s, but certainly not true American’s).
In short — sending a 30-lawyer S.W.A.T. team to dig up dirt on Governor Palin — “that dog won’t hunt.”
Talked to Mom last night - a lifelong Democrat. She won’t be voting for BO because he dragged the election down to racism, and because she feels HRC was mistreated by the party. And she likes Sarah!! There’s hope! (Maybe she and Dad can counter the votes of some otherwise intelligent people in our family who will be voting for BO)
And the louder the Left screams the better Sarah seems to do. So much better that for the first time the Intrade pay-to-play prediction market which long has had Obama winning by 20 to 25 points in November now shows a McCain lead. Unbelievable.
***I love how Intrade has become the go-to place to collect useful political data. I got a lot of flak for it when I was posting Intrade stuff during the primaries.
Have you talked to your other relatives lately? You might be surprised how many of them are now voting for McCain/Palin.
I love how Intrade has become the go-to place to collect useful political data. I got a lot of flak for it when I was posting Intrade stuff during the primaries.
Yeah, well - were you the one who posted about odds being given on Intrade that Sarah would be dropped from the ticket? The question has to be asked, how much money was behind that bet? Because if I could have had confidence in the site, I'd have put serious money on the line that McCain never would drop her off the ticket. He couldn't afford to, and he had exacted that "lipstick" joke from her by way of saying that she was lashing herself to the mast and would not back down in the face of Democrat/MSM assault. If I trusted the site and the process, I'd have knocked those odd down radically - or else won a lot of George Soros' money.
Yeah, well - were you the one who posted about odds being given on Intrade that Sarah would be dropped from the ticket?
***Yes. But I was getting at the primaries when I was using Intrade data and everyone else used polls.
The question has to be asked, how much money was behind that bet?
***Posting the fact that there’s a contract has absolutely nothing to do with any money behind it one way or another.
Because if I could have had confidence in the site, I’d have put serious money on the line that McCain never would drop her off the ticket.
***Then you missed out on a real good opportunity to make some money.
He couldn’t afford to, and he had exacted that “lipstick” joke from her by way of saying that she was lashing herself to the mast and would not back down in the face of Democrat/MSM assault.
***I don’t think McCain “exacted” any joke from Palin.
If I trusted the site and the process, I’d have knocked those odd down radically - or else won a lot of George Soros’ money.
***You still can, and make money in the process. There are plenty of others doing it. The only thing stopping you is your own fear. Yesterday there was $7 free, on the table, just for the taking. Today there’s a different $3 on the table, free for the taking.
Trying to Quantify Liberal Bias at Intrade

That is a stunning turnaround - and it does not surprise me! Thanks for the info.
