I love how Intrade has become the go-to place to collect useful political data. I got a lot of flak for it when I was posting Intrade stuff during the primaries.
Yeah, well - were you the one who posted about odds being given on Intrade that Sarah would be dropped from the ticket? The question has to be asked, how much money was behind that bet? Because if I could have had confidence in the site, I'd have put serious money on the line that McCain never would drop her off the ticket. He couldn't afford to, and he had exacted that "lipstick" joke from her by way of saying that she was lashing herself to the mast and would not back down in the face of Democrat/MSM assault. If I trusted the site and the process, I'd have knocked those odd down radically - or else won a lot of George Soros' money.

***Yes. But I was getting at the primaries when I was using Intrade data and everyone else used polls.
The question has to be asked, how much money was behind that bet?
***Posting the fact that there’s a contract has absolutely nothing to do with any money behind it one way or another.
Because if I could have had confidence in the site, I’d have put serious money on the line that McCain never would drop her off the ticket.
***Then you missed out on a real good opportunity to make some money.

***I don’t think McCain “exacted” any joke from Palin.
If I trusted the site and the process, I’d have knocked those odd down radically - or else won a lot of George Soros’ money.
***You still can, and make money in the process. There are plenty of others doing it. The only thing stopping you is your own fear. Yesterday there was $7 free, on the table, just for the taking. Today there’s a different $3 on the table, free for the taking.
