DAYTON, Ohio - Escalating its efforts to portray Senator Barack Obama as a candidate whose values fall outside the mainstream, the campaign of Senator John McCain on Tuesday unveiled a new television advertisement claiming that Mr. Obama, the Democratic nominee, favors comprehensive sex education for kindergarten students.
Learning about sex before learning to read? the narrator asks in the 30-second advertisement, which the campaign says will be shown in battleground states and on national cable. The commercial also asserts that a sex-education bill introduced in Illinois, which Mr. Obama did not sponsor and which never became law, is his one accomplishment in the field of education.

Sorry, this ad stinks of desperation. McCain needs to focus on real issues that might actually affect us. There are plenty of them. Instead, he’s going the liberal route of campaigning.
He didn't sponsor anything, but I bet he voted for it.
I think the bill number was 0099.
They don't want the truth about Obama's views to come out.
There was a clip of Obama discussing this bill yesterday, on KTLK-FM 100.3 in Minneapolis of all places.
I think it was Sean Hannity who played it.
Obama ended with words to the effect of "Nevertheless, it's the right thing to do" [in favor of the bill].
Cheers!
Thought Hannity said he co-authored the Bill.
No, it doesn’t. Rush read the actual bill on the air. He has a copy of the bill where 6 (for sixth grade) was stricken out and K (for Kindergarten) was added. Obama voted for the bill. Now, that’s normally not a huge deal, except it was one of the few bills Obama voted something other than “present” on.
Case closed. I fine the NYT another 10,000 lost subscribers for their blatant pro-Obama bias.
Can someone post the section from the bill that is controversial? We need the facts.
The ad is true. Obama does not deny voting for the bill in committee, and does not deny the language of the bill says what the ad claims. The only defense he's offered is that he did not understand the bill when he voted for it. He claims he voted for it for the reasons stated in the article. Unfortunately, the article does not bother to show the actual language of the bill. As usual, the media give him a pass. I guess it's okay to vote for bad legislation as long as you didn't really mean to , or didn't actually read it - at least that seems to be his excuse. What matters is your intent.
I have a feeling this is another case where Obama is obfuscating the truth, like his BAIPA (Live birth abortion record. The McCain campaign wouldnt spend money making an ad where there are other wedge issues on the table that can be used.
Hannity said 5 year olds would be taught that it is ok to masturbate, going to a secluded place to masturbate, homosexuality is ok.
“Sorry, this ad stinks of desperation”
The ad is true.
If you dont like, make sure you tell obi when you go to his next rally to not vote for crap like that.
They need not talk about prevention of STDs to 5 year olds unless they planned on talking about sex. There's other parts of the bill that talked about private masturbation.
People need to keep a compilation of Obama vidoes on hand for those who may be undecided....here is a start:

Sexual indoctrination of 5-year-olds by the nanny state isn’t a ‘real issue’? Have you read this bill? The ad isn’t a distortion in the least bit. Nor does it ‘stink’ of anything but Obama’s leftist/communist agenda.
This ad is to gin the base. It is not for the nass of casual short attention span voters.
