John and Sarah are making the rounds.
Good for them!
However a minor irritation still exists. That is, because out of fear of Obama, probably the great majority of FR (including founder) now support this team--and yet we still cannot get clear discussions on Borders/Immigration/Amnesty out of Team McCain/Palin) though we know exactly what "Yes We Can" Obama/Biden will do).
After thinking about what will and will not work, I have two plans for those who are very worried about our country over Illegal Immigration (some 90% here on FR and 80% of our countrymen) yet want to convey this to the McCain/Palin team and also engage in the Great Communicator's brilliant maxim Trust, but Verify
Palin is supposed to be in Orange County on 9/25/08, if we can get a location, we will have a rally there.
Having a rally is mostly pointless since they can and will discount you. In order to actually have an impact, you have to publicly ask questions that put them on the spot. If you can’t get in to do that, pass out fliers with the questions so anyone who wants to can help out. And, I mean short, specific questions - not rants - that are designed to avoid being answered with stock talking points. Palin isn’t a good choice since she’s apparently never dealt with this issue, but you might be able to ask her something about McCain’s positions, just so long as she’s not able to palm it off as something that only McCain could answer.
>>Hey stoopid, lets help them get elected first!<<
No need to be rude. This is a conservative, not a Republican Party website.
“Help them get elected first” (meaning vote for someone with an R by his name and shut up) is what happened with Bush. If we import 50 million illegals and make them citizens, watch what happens to any chance to elect conservatives, national security, pro-life judges, tax cuts, spending cuts, and US jobs.
I think we can oppose Obama while making it clear to McC that if he pushes amnesty again, we will push back.
What if we somehow politely communicate that we would like to donate money to McC, but would first like some acknowledgment from his campaign that he knows that we have very serious concerns about his intended amnesty initiatives?
The first immigrant that must be dealt with is Hussein Obama.
How the hell can people debate immigration themselves when a non-citizen running for President??
I will hear no more of this “Supposed” issue until we address one Barry Soetoro over the CHANGE in aliases while he tries to sneak into the WH.
Yeah, I called my Reps. many times and also bothered Pelosi and Reid just for the hell of it. BUT that is over and soooo yesterday. Now we let the MSM and Big Libs shove talking points down our throats all day while we watch our candidates being trashed???
It’s deplorable and I will hear no more of how we have to take the high road.
If being a legal citizen isn’t required for the Oval Office, then let me ask you this:
Why should it matter at all? Because of $$$?
If we take the high and dry road, then I fear we deserve what we get on immigration since we let an immigrant run for the highest office in the land.
WTH? Would people be more against this guy if he were Mexican??
I am baffled at how a tough bunch of America-Loving Repubs have been so intimidated by this BIG WUSSY Kenyan, his racist and manly wife, in addition to his incessant whining like a child.

Sorry for double :)
And you have just called me "stupid" in your very first post to me.
Do you wish to retract that insult or otherwise apologize for it?
There is no need for that.
Call it "community organizing" in advance of the Orange County Sarah Palin visit.
;-)
We will count you as not one in the effort to keep the pressure on Sarah and John from the grassroots below via our elected local, GOP representatives, throughout this campaign, in every town and village and hamlet.
Speaking up on this issue--and not ignoring it as the 800 pound RHINO in the room, has absolutely NO BEARING on giving the election to Obama. I dont know what kind of wild logic that is.
Do you know the American citizen and their thinking on this issue re: poll after poll after poll?
10-20% side with Obama. 80-90% side with AmericanInTokyo. I aint going nowhere.
How I wish! ;-)
I would think the good Senator would be aware of the jump in the polls, and the large increase in donations, following the choice of Governor Palin. Meaning he finally did something to energize the base. He is still in a fight and we will find out what kind of fight when the debates begin.
I would venture a guess that at the moment, and until the election, immigration, illegal or otherwise, is a back burner issue. I say that based on the numerous raids on businesses that frequently hire illegals, that have been in the news since the change in policy following the people’s reaction to the last comprehensive immigration reform bill.
If the good Senator doesn’t see the illegal immigration issue as the majority of Americans see it, then he is stoopider than I thought and it wouldn’t be worth the effort anyway. The debates are going to define the major pre election “ISSUES” and then it will be damn the torpedoes full speed ahead. For the dems, I’m sure free health care for all is going to be on the top of the list. Preceeded or followed by the energy issue. Immigration for the moment has been overcome by events IMHO.
Looking forward to it!
Oh AIT, I am just being dramatic(54 days away from election);)
Yes, I will still feel compelled to do the right thing regardless of our leader in Wash.
I just had to get that off my chest since the possibility still exists that there could be an “ineligibility” issue.
And the funniest part is that nobody can say different as we wait for a final decision.
Do we need to protect our borders and build the wall? Absolutely. But now is not the time for disagreement.
Now is the time for unity.
Right now the media is looking for any reason to show that we are not supportive of McCain-Palin.
Let me apologize for calling you ‘stoopid’. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.
What I meant to say was that you’re freakin’ brilliant but that you have very stoopid ideas.
clear the decks of an insult with another insult.
later,
