OK, here’s the issue.... I don’t want a VP that can’t grasp the concept that a paraplegic cannot stand up.
Biden thought he was Obama. If Obama was there, the man would have arose & walked.
A lot of times people don’t realize what they say to people with disabilities. They don’t mean anything bad by it. He handled it well though.
Someone on Youtube said it was an honest mistake and then added that it was probably the only honest thing Biden ever did in his life.
Of all the missteps in this campaign this is beyond a doubt the most stupid thing to hammer Biden on. It sure sounded like a honest mistake and he recovered well. By Rush, et al, hammering on this it makes conservatives look petty and mean. I would suggest just dropping it now and talk issues.
It really isn’t a big deal. But the point is, if President Bush had done the same thing, you would have seen it repeated ad nauseum, with all of the late night talk show hosts talking about what an idiot he is....yadda...yadda...yadda.
Very true. I did get a good chuckle out of it listening to Rush crack up repeatedly about it today and Mark Levin laugh this evening. It’s contagious to hear laughter and Biden’s somewhat self-deprecating recovery was funny.
