You know, one thought occurred to me that I don't recall hearing anyone ever say before. We've been all over the issue of "when does life begin?" ... but here is yet another good question: "When does citizenship begin?"
A newborn, regardless of how much it is wanted or not wanted, by law is a citizen of the United States, and thus should be naturally afforded all rights including the right to representation in a court of law.

I cannot imagine how you feel about your refusal to support Obama. The flack that you have to take when you speak your mind at a family event, or the frustration you feel when you judge it best to keep silent must be really difficult. I will add you to my prayers. Life cannot be easy for you right now.
John McCain and Sarah Palin believe brave men and women of honor and valor who volunteer should sacrifice thier lives for the cause of freedom. The junior Senator from IL believes innocent newborn children without a choice should sacrifice thier lives for an unconstitutional court decision.

Since every abortion entails the prospect of a new citizen being born, ie: botched abortion, and since the new citizen is without any support, whatsoever, of its rights, being in the company of those who would seek its death, an attorney representing its rights must be immediately present while the abortion is performed to protect it from an act of murder, as defacto Power of Attorney. Any woman wishing to have an abortion must sign the paperwork consigning the attorney these rights as an additional guarantee that the rights of a new citizen, should a birth occur rather than an abortion, will be instantly secured.
Additionally, an OB Doctor, and OB Nurse, appointed by the attorney shall be standing by to assist as necessary to protect the child from any complications and all necessary medicines and medical equipment normally available to newborns shall be immediately available in the room the abortion attempt is taking place, and an ambulance, and ambulance driver shall be no more than 100 feet of the abortion procedure room ready to transport the newborn to the nearest hospital ward, and shall be paid for in advance by the clinic, and approved by the attorney.
By golly, we might just have a way to stop abortions without overturning Roe VS Wade.
Thanks for the great post! I think it should be called infanticide or baby murder. It is crazy that these folks think it is bad to kill a terrorist who is trying to kill you, but killing an innocent baby who is born alive is celebrated.
Most black women I know say they are prolife.
They suspect black babies are being killed disproportionately. Aren’t 2/3 of DC’s aborted babies black?
On other moral issues, they tend to be conservative-at least in principle. But they don’t apply these principles to actual situations.
They refuse to believe O is proabortion.
One friend cannot believe OJ was guilty, and believes that if she is pulled over by a cop, it is only because she is black. Everything bad that happrns to her or her family is some form of discrimination.
She votes for anyone with a D next to his name, and no matter how much the candidate publicizes his position, she simply refuses to believe it. I don’t get it.
Another friend has watched the news closely over the last couple of years, and recognizes how much abortion is tied to how the MSM portrays people. She no longer considers herself a democrat because of their obsession with killing babies and the disabled.
