TALLAHASSEE State elections officials will resume enforcement of a controversial state law that requires Floridians to have their identification match up with a state or federal database in order to register to vote.
Secretary of State Kurt Browning sent notice to the state's 67 supervisors of elections on Friday that the 2006 law, which has been on hold for the last year pending court rulings, would take effect again Sept. 8.
The result is that voters whose identification doesn't match with state files on Election Day will be given a provisional ballot and two days to prove their identity for their ballot to count.

Uh. Um. Because the Department of Mexican Voters, er, Motor Vehicles, can't keep up?
They don't have a leg to stand on. The Supreme Court ruled that states can require a valid proof of citizenship(ID), in order for someone to vote.
A huge blow to the Obama campaign.
Sorry dems, you won’t be able to have dead people vote, or live people vote twice again.
Oh! The Horror!
The last time I voted (Ohio) required picture ID.
Non-story it already has been happening.
I work the polls here in Florida as a Clerk and everyone who votes has to show a photo ID, no exceptions. No photo ID, they speak with the Election Assistant and get a provisional.
We’ve done this in August with the local primaries and in January for the national primaries.
Unless it is county by county.
Here’s a hint: What would Obama say?
Height: 6’3”. Ha ha!
To work, this still requires poll watchers in every poll to prevent poll workers from OK'ing people whose IDs don't match the rolls.
States that Require ID (photo not required)- Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington

in my county st johns county of FL they always have checked our ID with a picture and then compare that to a database
now why does our state always have problems in just the Dem counties?
mmmmmmmm
voter fraud will be rife this year and many north east liberals will be voting here while living back in their state up in the north east
I just hope FL keeps their eye on this
Personally, I don't cheat and am comfortable with the ID thing. When I worked in the IL and MO polss, at various times, I never once had anyone refuse to provide an ID.
here is another sense shocker for them
you have had to have paid taxes , also raise the voting age
what does most 18 year olds know about the world , they have just left high school , some are still in high school, most know nothing about paying taxes, raising kids, having a house and responsibility
same as these welfare 8 kid mothers who just eat at burger king, drive their loud hip hop music Cadillac .
pay into the system before you can have a say in the direction of the system
I could drive in another state and yet that cop would know about me on a fed database, so why can’t they have a similar database stopping illegals too
also voters should be asked 5 questions before being allowed to vote, so they know where the candidates stand, for instance which one wants homosexual marriage, who wants to raise your taxes, who wants to reduce the military.
one question wrong and you have to take the test again , 3 times fail you do not get to vote
course the Dems would never allow it as they would never get in power again
it is because of the welfare, illegals, layabouts, dumb voters out there who give them the votes they need to get power in places
st johns county here and yes they check with photo IDC and then check on a list they have
course we don’t have many Dem voters compared to republicans
I’ve always thought - one tax dollar, one vote. Bring in your tax form and you get the number of votes that you paid taxes for.
