Chicago - With the surge in Republican enthusiasm and John McCain's poll numbers generated by the emergence of Sarah Palin as a GOP superstar, it's no wonder that many Democrats are already hitting the panic button. The Obama campaign, however, isn't sounding any alarms, and it's not just because it believes the post-convention glow will disappear soon enough and voters will get back to focusing on issues more than personality. Much of its confidence stems from a tactical advantage on the ground it showcased to great effect in the primary battle with Hillary Clinton, one which it believes could be the deciding factor in the general election as well.

That is great news from Colorado. It is a critical state and McCain’s road to the presidency gets much tougher if he can’t hold onto Colorado. Like I said, there is still time and the increased enthusiasm with Palin on the ticket is going to help.
That's part of it, but another part is the vote fraud apparatus that we've already seen reported. Remember the Muslim-backed group that was sowing forged voter registrations all over the place?
Obama is hoping to win some key states based on those efforts being successful enough to negate the surge in the Republican ticket's popularity.
It almost worked eight years ago.
Oh, yeah. Right. There are those "issues."
The big eared "senator" from Chicago better not say that too loudly.
Damn, I wish I could gin up a little bit of respect for him.
No, I don't.
Nixon .......... 60.7%
McGovern ... 37.5%
Michigan has a new voter ID law and just purged 297,000 voters from the rolls.
McCain will win everything but Detroit, Flint, and AnnArbor!
People in those areas should ‘gird their loins” and be vigilant..
The McCain/Palin campaign will train you. You are not to confront anyone — only watch and make a call if something hits the fan. Your eyes and ears may be the only verification available. PLEASE VOLUNTEER IN YOUR AREA. They are begging — they mentioned what has happened — can't publish here. They know it's coming. If you care — volunteer. Poll workers are overwhelmingly Democrat — there will be no help there. We need you to sign up to work the poll places and WATCH the polling places
Sorry for all the type-os. In a hurry. But PLEASE CONSIDER signing up. I’ve never seen this happen before. My jaw was on my chest. We’ve never begged (and I mean begged) for people to make sure voter fraud doesn’t happen — but it’s needed now.
Obma?
Who dat?
But the rat that knows the most about fraud (Hillary) is sitting this one out.
I have been a polling official for 6 years and this November is one I don’t intend to miss. I actually lose about $500 the day I have to take off to do it, but I want to make sure there’s no cheating.
The problem is in heavily democratic precincts, if they can't get a republican AND democrat, they'll take two democrats. If people sign up now (contact the local McCain Campaign office near you), they can get “waivers” to allow volunteers to watch in heavy democratic precincts.
Our Committeeman last night was sure that couldn't happen in our precinct, so since we had two volunteers, he thought that was enough, but not so. We need others to go into the democratic precincts (believe me, they'll be in republican precincts). There are legal teams on call if there's any monkey business. Met a precinct captain from City of St. Louis. He's very worried.
Everybody knows where the trouble in their neck of the woods will crop up and republicans are in short supply. As I said, the campaign office will train you or send someone out to train a group of you. Now is the time — can't wait too long or waivers can't be obtained. Thanks.
Sorry, I don’t buy into the “vote fraud” fear. It really DIDN’T work eight years ago; and if anything, there has been a massive purging of dead voters from the rolls.
