The Bat Segundo Show: Markos Moulitsas (Talks about Kos Roll in Trig Palin attacks)

"... Now, of course, there was a lot of irregularities about that pregnancy that still are pretty much unexplained. I don’t think they’re explained by the original theory. But there’s some weird stuff. I mean, you don’t have your water break and then you wait ten hours to go the hospital. Because you give a speech and you go on a commercial flight to Seattle, and sit around, and take a commercial flight to Anchorage, and take a one hour drive to your hometown, and then have a baby when your water breaks. Especially a special needs child. Like Trig was. But that said, it’s her choice to make those decisions. You know, I’m a progressive. I’m assuming a doctor said it was okay for her to do that. You know, it’s between her and her doctor." -Moulitsas

I find it ironic that the left goes around protesting holding up stay out of my womb signs and have now examined Sarah and Bristol Palins’ wombs with a microscope.

With one of my kids, my water leaked all day. Went to the doctor, he did a test and told me I was mistaken. Later that evening my water broke and it gushed, had to be induced and still didn’t have him for another 17 hrs. My water broke with all three, never had the Dr. tell me to rush and the shortest labor was 9 hrs.

I thought Markos sucked in Pretty In Pink and that show he does on CBS with Sheen isn't that funny, either.

This is simply not true and proof that he does not know what he's talking about. I have four children and I do know what I'm talking about.

That describes Markos Moulitsas perfectly. He is a good reminder of what we fight against.

"What technique is this...

It’s like he gets his digs in about this subject, which shouldn’t even be a political issue, then after he gets his talking points out, then he says of course it’s her own choices to make about her medical care.

I think there’s a name for this technique."

Yes, there is a name for it and we are seeing the leftists try to use it quite a bit these days.

It is called "Diminished Claim" or "Failure To Assert" or just simply as "Having Your Cake."

Yeah he doesn’t know what he is talking about but that is the problem with the left. They are all warm and fuzzy when it comes to specifics when it suits them but watch them go absolutely rigid when it comes to something that they thing wins them points. This is a reason why Obama is losing, he is one of them. His thinking is that big speeches and words are enough to trick people into voting.

Sometimes people should just keep their errant and wayward thoughts to themselves and not verbalize their ignorance.

How I wish the media would put this out there. I wonder if Rush or Shawn would.

It's called "Paralipsis" --- saying something on the pretext that you're not going to say it:

"I'm running a clean, dignified campaign and so I won't get into all that stuff about my opponent's horrendous divorce and the way he treated his poor kids..."

There's another rhetorical device called "Proslepsis": this is where the speaker gives the full details and then basically says "but that's not my topic":

"The destruction of the ozone layer --- the shrinking of the glaciers --- the extinction of millions of species --- the steadily deteriorating air, water, and soil --- the dangerous chemicals in our foods --- the year-by-year decline in SAT scores --- the deplorable come-back of big 1970's hair styles for women--- nobody can say with certainty that these are all the fault of the Republican Party, and yet----"

You get the general drift.

This is why Obama is having some much of a problem. He won’t let go or cede a point even when he lets go he hands on to Rev. Wright, to Bill Ayers, and down the line. The left is sick.

Markos evidently didn't talk to my wife about this...

For exact synonyms, the Yiddish words you are looking for are “schmuck,” “shlong” and “shvantz.”

This has to be one of the most offensive things I've ever seen, and I have some **very** thick skin. What really frosts me is that 4000+ brave Americans have been shipped home from Iraq in a box so this M-F can throw this disgusting tantrum and suffer no repercussions for it.

In a better time, the stunted juvenile that created this monstrosity would have had his ass severely whupped and then banished from polite society until amends were made. If then the cretin died in the wilderness bereft of his community's support all the better.

But then, in this new enlightened era, that wouldn't be very sensitive or progressive, I guess...

My water broke (1st baby) at a restaurant. Gushed and gushed in the parking lot. When we got home, my husband kindly poured it out of my shoes on our doorstep. I of course called my OB practice first thing. This is Fairfax County, VA, a well-respected hospital and practice. I was told to cool it at home until I had contractions. About eight hours later, I was ready to go to the hospital, and had the baby 10 hours later.

Leaking? No big deal.

Actually, I do think it was kind of stupid advice from a midwife I never liked again after the birth. With the next baby the doctor told me about the danger of cord prolapse, but perhaps that was because of that particular baby’s position, etc.

Really, as a woman who’s actaully done this, I have strong emotions about this guy who’s trying to pass judgement on someone else’s body and how it works. (i.e., if he were near me I’d be tempted to smack him).
