On Thursday is the seventh Anniversary that our country was savagely attacked and the united hearts of our nation cried out in pain.. Here are a few pix that I chose out of the more than 1200 I have on file. Feel free to post your pix, your memories, where you were and what you were doing “that day” and perhaps how this has impacted your life.

THE STAIRWELL....



You say you will never forget where you were when
you heard the news On September 11, 2001.
Neither will I.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room
with a man who called his wife to say 'Go od-Bye.' I
held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the
peace to say, 'Honey, I am not going to make it, but it
is OK..I am ready to go.'

I was with his wife when he called as she fed
breakfast to their children. I held her up as she
tried to understand his words and as she realized
he wasn't coming home that night.

I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a
woman cried out to Me for help. 'I have been
knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!' I said.
'Of course I will show you the way home - only
believe in Me now.'

I was at the base of the building with the Priest
ministering to the injured and devastated souls.
I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He
heard my voice and answered.

I was on all four of those planes, in every seat,
with every prayer. I was with the crew as they
were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the
believers there, comforting and assuring them that their
faith has saved them.

I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan .
I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news.
Did you sense Me?

I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew
every name - though not all know Me. Some met Me
for the first time on the 86th floor.

Some sought Me with their last breath.
Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the
smoke and flames; 'Come to Me... this way... take
my hand.' Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.
But, I was there.

I did not place you in the Tower that day. You
may not know why, but I do. However, if you were
;there in that explosive moment in time, would you have
reached for Me?

Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey
for you . But someday your journey will end. And I
will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may
be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are
'ready to go.'

I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

What do you mean?

Pictures of Fr. Judge were the only images of a dead body from 9/11 ever broadly disseminated to the American public.

I did see one other remain one time in US media, a severed forearm with a wedding band on the ring finger.

Foreign media showed scores of the dead. Our media withheld that from us.

They said it was out of sensitivity for the feeeeeeeeeeelings of the survivors. This new found sensitivity was a first for the presstitutes.

I say BULL! they simply didn't want America to become angered, because angry Americans are Bad People, even worse than the normal ugly Americans.

I missed all live TV coverage also as at 9 I began a trip from Cleveland to Winston Salem NC.. and listened on radio. I knew we were in deep doo doo when I turned on radio to hear Glenn Beck & got Peter Jennings.

The trip seemed to go like lightening & I was always able to find a good station the whole trip... even in mountains where there is normally static or 5 stations picking up at once.

911 coverage..? a small 1 inch square note referring to an editorial.

I remember the very moment I heard about the attack.

A lady that worked for me had her radio on WBAP 820AM
and they broke in with the ‘plane hit the WTC’ tower
in NY.

My first reply was, “What?!? You’re kidding?!?”, then
‘no, you wouldn’t kid about that’.

My second reply was “Osama bin Laden”. I had recalled
the 1993 bombing and could only think some jacka$$ like
him would do that.

Been watching all day...C-SPAN, FOX, History Channel.

I wasn’t there...I was in the same place I am now - El Segundo, CA.

On that morning, my neighborhood was eerily quiet. My apartment was close to a noisy international airport that had no noise. The streets were mostly quiet, too.

I cried all day that day. And that week. And that month.

Every time I saw a flag. Every time I saw the news. Every time I heard the National Anthem...I lost it.

Just like today...seven years later.

Moments I remember after all these years:

-—The beautiful Cathedral service.

-—The President standing on the rubble: “I can hear you, the rest of the world hears you, and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon.”

-—The President’s address on September 20 to a joint session of Congress.

I had NO problem with it but I have been at OTHER threads recently where several have complained. I put graphics intense in title so those with dial up would be forewarned & stay away or shut off graphics for thread if it was problematic.

I hope you will keep the graphic in, I have no intention of asking its removal.

I would love to see one of our good artists.. like silent_jonny take the graphic of the fireman handing the flag to the soldier & also the graphic of the towers with people exploding & Jesus catching above.. turning them into a more refined charcoal (or whatever media artists use for this sort of thing.

thanks for sharing C4B. The events of the day had a MAJOR impact on all Americans.. We each reacted differently & we each responded differently.

What burns me are the USA terrorists undercover still who were celebrating this event either alone or with their partners in misery.

Several mentioned that they will never forget & never forgive & I think it is appropriate for me. Forgiveness can only be from the one offended/hurt & we each know in our hearts if that offense has been worked thru. The dead & maimed of the day & thier immediate families ? probably wont happen.

Hard to even consider forgiving unrepentant evil
