In her game-changing convention speech, Sarah Palin took a swipe at Obama for having been nothing more in his life than a community organiser.
This prompted the Obama campaign to issue a pained defence of community organisation as a way of promoting social change from the bottom up. The impression is that community organising is a worthy if woolly and ultimately ineffectual grassroots activity. This is to miss something of the greatest importance: that in the world of Barack Obama, community organisers are a key strategy in a different game altogether; and the name of that game is revolutionary Marxism.

Excellent Article & Ammunition ;)
I read Alinsky’s book...”Let Them Call Me Rebel” in the early 90’s, hes the piece of garbage who started the community organizer thing.

I keep meaning to read “Rules for Radicals” - know thy enemy.

I wish him [Obama] the best, and hope he can win the election, and if he wins the election, that he adopts this campaign for education, al-Mansour said.
Education has been the front issue for community organizing since the Panther days in the 60s. History has recorded that the Panthers and other community organizers like Alinsky and Ayers were promoting a specific educational curriculum, namely communism and/or radical racial activism.
Ping!
Excellent find.
Obama's "community organizing" left Chicago neighborhoods in ruins.
Grim proving ground for Obama's housing policyAbout 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls. Battered mailboxes hang open. Sewage backs up into kitchen sinks. In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale - a score so bad the buildings now face demolition.
I’m familar with Melanie Phillips from her articles on the Middle East, but it seems she’s just as formidible on other fronts.
I like her writing style. I always appreciate her ability to bring to the table a fresh and interesting view others cannot seem to muster up.
When the Boston Globe is willing to slam the Obamessiah, you know things are bad.
One of the very few good things King Richard II of Chicago has done is to enact a policy of closing down the high-rise hells.
Thanks for this post, this should be required reading for every American voter. I’d never heard of Gamaliel until I read this article.
Obamas “community organizing” left Chicago neighborhoods in ruins.
This would make a most excellent ad. I wonder how many of the residents who were part of those neighborhoods would dare speak out about a brotha though.
Me either on Gamaliel.

I think the Globe is the more to the right than the other major Boston paper (can’t recall the name at the moment) but you’re right. It is still something that they wrote that.
Excellent.
Funny how Marxism trickles down to Larry Elder’s “Victcracy” — always blaming someone else for your problems.
When “the man” is to blame for your problems, you tend not to take care of the neighborhood.
Now I understand the “gaps” in Obama’s resume.
