In an interview published Sunday with the German mag Der Spiegel, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said he didn't miss going to the GOP national convention because it lacked "bipartisanship."
He compared the "hard core" who run the national party to California's GOP leaders: "I have almost no contact with them none. Because they're just so out there."
That should help round up those GOP votes for his budget proposal

Don’t worry, Arnie, we didn’t miss you either. Oh, Arnie, quit kidding yourself with that R next to your name. You are D in all but name.
Nothing like going out of your way to stick a finger in our eye, Arnie. Good luck with your next election.
I say recall the S.O.B. and put a Republican in office instead. Oh and Arnold, here’s a newsflash: This time you won’t be back!!
I voted for Tom McClintock.
The liberals grow the state debt, while Taxifornia backslides into history as the once-great-state. And to fix that, the socialists want to increase Taxifornia’s already obscene taxation levels.....ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY because the idiot voters just keep putting these liberal maggots back into office.....fools.
He’s turned into a girly man.
Was he even invited?
John McCain and Joe Lieberman. Doesn’t get more partisan than that, Arnold.
We all get what we deserve. Good thing we don’t have Arnold.
They really need to put a fence around California, especially on the Oregon border.....
Married to a Kennedy!
Why don't you just switch parties and be done with it. Then it will leave the gates wide open for Tom McClintock.
That's it Arnold, the Republicans are just too "out there". Time for you to come out of the closet. Tell everyone you are a DemocRAT.
Was he even invited?

He was originally on the speakers list so I would say, Yes.
It’s a combo of budget delay and McCain not needing another star there (besides Sarah and FRed) to take away from his golden moment on the stage. Post-partisan was the theme too, bummer. ;-)
The whole interview is “amusing,” at best.

SPIEGEL: Could you imagine becoming a cabinet member in a McCain or in an Obama administration?
Schwarzenegger: Yes I could imagine that, but the only thing I cannot imagine is leaving Sacramento and leaving it to someone who would replace me. I have a plan of what I want to accomplish by the time Im finished and that to me is more important — fulfilling that dream and that promise — than taking on any position in Washington.
Arnold is such a pathetic failure he should just step down.
Fred Thompson substituted for Aaahhnnooollll.........
Thompson was awesome and the CA gov was not missed.
He knows it too and that is why he’s being so cranky.
Maybe Arnold’s getting squirmy because Palin’s toughness is real, whereas Arnold is a fake to the core. Fake tough guy. Fake conservative. Fake Republican. He’s just another Kennedy with man-titties.
Arnold should change his name to “Schwarzenegge.” He does not deserve to have an “R” at the end of it.
