World wants Obama to be next US president: poll
ABS/CBN News ^ | 09/09/2008 | Agence France-Presse

LONDON - Most people across the world would prefer Democrat Barack Obama to win the US presidential election over his Republican rival John McCain, a new poll spanning 22 countries showed Tuesday.

The BBC World Service survey found the most common view in all nations polled was that Obama -- who staged a euphoric European tour two months ago that included a speech to 200,000 fans in Berlin -- should win in November.

An average of 46 percent of all those questioned thought US relations with the rest of the world would improve if Obama took office, compared to just 20 percent for McCain, the survey of 22,500 people found.

Global approval ratings for the United States are currently low -- a BBC World Service poll earlier this year found 49 percent of people surveyed had a negative view of US influence, compared to 32 who viewed it positively.

Those most optimistic about an Obama presidency's impact on US external relations were people in America's NATO allies -- Canada, France, Germany, Britain and Italy -- as well as Australia, Nigeria and Kenya, where Obama has family.

Forty-six percent said having a black US president would "fundamentally change" their perception of the United States, and 27 percent said it would not.

"Large numbers of people around the world clearly like what Barack Obama represents," said Doug Miller, chairman of GlobeScan which conducted the poll.

“Large numbers of people around the world clearly like what Barack Obama represents,”
..and large numbers are Muslim anti-American fanatics”

IMO, the only reason large numbers of Muslim countries want Nobama is because he is MUSLIM... They certainly wouldn’t be supporting any other “religion”.

Living in Germany they think O-man is The One. They also loved Clinton and think Bush is the devil without the horns.

But, who has kept their sorry hides safe from the wolfs? You know wonderful people like Putin, or the lovable rag heads who would like to cut yours off?

If they are for Obama then the choice is clear: McCain/Palin

If that were McCain it would read:"Political Hack angers 200,000 by interrupting Berlin Rock concert to spout US Propoganda"

The world doesn't know the first thing about Obama. They see a coloured man with inspired speeches. They know squat of the man aside from that. They think that by electing a coloured man the US is now non racist, but they don't know that Obama’s church of Black Liberation is one of the most racist and hate filled churches in America. They hear the word "change" but they have no idea about the lack of change to the poverty in the district of south Chicago that Obama represented. They hear the word "hope" and they don't realize how hopeless the people are within this district and why there is now a black man running for office as a Republican. And if Obama has his way they will never hear about this or any of the other disturbing facts of this man.

Good post.

They strongly support Hussein for one big reason--

they want to bring us down to 'THEIR LEVEL' economically, militarily, and socially.

“Lets get all the Americans in Europe and overseas to vote”

My mother, a lifelong Democrat, visited us in Berlin when “The One” gave his speech in the Tiergarten.

When she asked if I was inspired, I said yes. His speech inspired me to download my absentee ballot request and send it in ASAP.

By the way, mom is voting for McCain/Palin so I guess Hell is really freezing over!!

Look at the absolutely incredible job Hussein is doing (with the help of the MSM) in 'spiking' the story of his friendship with an unrepentant TERRORIST--

whose ONLY regret is that he did NOT DO MORE!!

Of course they do. I wonder how many countries around the world allow women to vote? I’m sure this poll was conducted at the UN.

There was some media buzz back in 2004 to the effect that the choice of the US president was too important to leave it just to Americans.

The argument ran: The POTUS is the most powerful person in the world, and affects the lives of almost all on the planet. Therefore, it is not “fair” that only Americans have input on choice of the POTUS. Think this is a joke? Consider SCOTUS Justice Breyer and his willingness to give international law precedence over the US Constitution.

In typical liberal fashion, these ideas are floated and refloated until they seem part of the framework of life and “mainstream”.

I wonder if BBC conducts its polls in the same manner they collect the television licence fee in the UK:

BBC probes TV licence after "heavy-handed" complaints
Monday, 08 Sep 2008 09:15
The BBC is to investigate the advertisement and collection of the television licence fee following complaints of "intimidating" methods.

A consultation group has been established by the corporation's governing body the BBC Trust after viewers and MPs criticised 'heavy-handed' tactics used by TV Licensing.

Conservative MP Gary Streeter tabled an early-day motion in parliament in 2007 which attacked the approach taken to ensuring that the one million Britons who do not own a TV prove their "non-use".

And fellow Tory David MacLean criticised advertisement methods for the licence - which recently featured a helicopter bearing down on a street, followed by the legend: "Your town, your street, your home... it is all in our database."

Sure, the word wants Obama elected because they know that Obama will turn this nation into a 3rd world backwater like they are. The world is jealous of our nation and what we have accomplished.
