I'm just not much of a mammal hunter. I don't even deer hunt anymore, but not because I think it's wrong, I just don't have a family that will eat it. Geese, ducks and dove are a different story.

O.k., for those who don’t know what we are talking about. This caller from PA went to the rally and had a sign saying they too had a Down syndrome baby. The Palin’s saw the sign and had the secret service ask them to come to meet the McCain’s and the Palin’s. The family brought little Trig off the bus and they got to meet him. His point was that both families treated them as immediate friends, down to earth, just folks. Rush is going to get pictures and put up on his website.

I know some golf courses that need their goose population to be thinned. They try to trap them but they fly back because they don't migrate anymore.

Kentucky has a special goose hunt in Sept for local geese it's so bad.

I eat a lot of venison. I enjoy it. Two yearlings or a doe and a fawn are just enough meat for me to run out a month before opening day...that way I'm hungry when I hit the field.

The best trapping around here is muskrat, but it's an awful lot of work for very little return IMO. Mostly old timers and teenagers trap around here.

Yes, morning doves and they are delicious. Not the white peace doves.

They are the fastest game bird there is.

I’ve never had the opportunity to go bird hunting. Would like to one day....I’ve got a good semi/12ga.....and I would eat them. Fishing or hunting, I don’t kill what I won’t eat. (’cept varmints and coyotes)

We have some mourning doves in our evergreen off our deck. They sound like owls!
