One Potential Problem. re: Palin.

OK, I'm a conservative who is very excited about Sarah Palin.

But, I have noticed over the past couple of days that Gov. Palin keeps using the EXACT same lines and phrases on the campaign trail that she used so effectively in her convention speech last week.

This is not good.

It is making her seem like a one-trick pony and it WILL be noticed by all very soon if she doesn't change up her rhetoric or at least preface such convention quotes with something like "as I have stated before..."

When Dick Cheney came to Tucson in 2004...that was the first political rally I've ever bothered with.

Lynn Cheney warmed up the crowd with a nice, townhall-style, extemporaneous speech.

She was a lot better than her husband. He stood behind a podium and spoke from his notes. No indication that he had mastered the material.

The more important thing is that they say what they mean, mean what they say, and carry it out when they get to the office.

That remains to be seen.

“Are you Hmm Hoping that Palin will Ahh..will Change? “

Only that she wil change her delivery of the convention speech. In this day and age of the 3-hour news cycle, she has to say the same thing slightly differently or she will, as a new-comer, be classified as a “robot” by the Lefters.

Got it?

If anyone thinks Sarah is repeating herself, he should read this: 2004 Convention Speech

Obama has been spouting the same words for years!

Bill Oh Really said the same thing tonight.

Never heard him comment about Hope and Change Obami that way. What a shocker.

There’s a real danger that the McCain campaign will over-manage and over-protect this woman. She must be allowed to get out on the campaign trail and be herself - that’s what got people excited when she made her speech. A few flubs are to be expected but if she’s really going to be the new face of conservatism, she needs to be able to think on her feet and answer questions under pressure. I predict that if the campaign drones get out of her way she’ll hit her stride pretty quickly.

I agree with others who have stated this happens in most campaigns. The candidates come up with concepts and present them over and over to new crowds. Obama does it too.

It would be great if she could find the time to write a new speech every day. She would just have to give up sleeping.

If pols ad lib, they will make mistakes and say dumb things. In this day and age of YouTube, that is what you cant afford.

I’ve been really impressed with the McCain campaign. They are on top of things and have done unbelievable things so far. I think they are better at this than you or me(not Biden though, his IQ is really high). I am guessing that She will change up her speech Tuesday or Wednesday.

Not defensive, just trying to help those that are missing the obvious point.

You're not paranoid on this, you're a troll.

Seems to me that plenty of Freepers thought his question was legitimate. Why do you think it isn't?

I do understand where your coming from, however just because the media only rolls out the same ole clips or parts of the stump, does not mean that is all that’s being said. I’ve seen clip where they counter the liberal spins of the hour,so they do change it up somewhat.
I’m not sure how many stumps they hit a day but I’m pretty sure after a while they will all sound somewhat the same. I’ve heard the Obama camp saying the same ole things for years now an it seems to be working right fine for them.

I’m not too worried personally about whether she can speak. She did 14 minutes of her convention speech without a teleprompter from what I can tell so a typical stump speech ought to be well within her range of talents.
