The most talked about, blogged about, rumored about, gossiped about babies on the planet for once don't belong to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. They are Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Heath Palin's 5-month-old son Trig Paxson Van Palin and the child soon to be born to her 17-year-old daughter, Bristol.
The 44-year-old Alaska governor set the political world spinning faster than Hurricane Gustav on Sept. 1 when she announced that her teen daughter is pregnant and planning to marry her boyfriend, Levi Johnston, amid increasing Internet speculation that the teen was actually the mother of Trig, Palin's fifth child.
"Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned," Sarah and her husband, Todd Palin, said in a statement. "Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family."
The revelation came just 48 hours after Daily Kos, a political Web site, posted a speculative theory that John McCain's running mate had faked her pregnancy with Trig to cover up the fact that it was actually Bristol, a high school senior, who was pregnant. Daily Kos' speculation spread through the blogosphere with numerous Web sites breathlessly repeating the tale despite its complete lack of attribution or original reporting.
The "mud-slinging and lies" and the "despicable rumors," according to McCain aides, were the reason the Palins decided to go public with the news of Bristol's pregnancy. (She is five months along.)
"Bristol Palin is a nice girl, a sweetheart," Susan Krueger, a family friend of the Palins, tells OK!. "Teenage pregnancy is a fact of life, and young people have been having babies for millennia. This is not anything new. I say more power to her for keeping the baby. Life is always the right choice. The Palins are a strong, faith-based family, and they can hold their own anywhere even in Washington!"
I think the same group that own’s PEOPLE magazine owns OK! Magazine.
oh my... UK laws are less permissive when it comes to outright smears and propaganda. I should think a UK magazine might be open to libel charges.
Let them go there. They will be marching to an even steeper defeat.
So now KOS is replacing the normal news pool for reliable stories. The media is being reduced to conspiracy theory nutcase tin foil hat blog sites

Sarah and Todd have shown wonderful reflexes towards this awful media that would shred them apart because of their hate. To have gone public shortly after the rumors started was to raise the shotgun and point it right at the media. Just DO IT - Nike should put Todd Palin on their payroll - what a great looking guy and athletic too!
We need to ignore the gutter level Eurotrash.
UK... still ticked about that 1776 thing.
Why do the libs keep calling this a scandal?
They seem to support the right of young people of a certain age to engage in sex. Is it 14 in Britain?
So what makes this different by their standards?
Surely not the mere fact that Bristol is pregnant.
We really do need a mental health facility for these liberals-—to protect them from harming themselves or others.
Rather than deal with their handover to the muslims, the UK would rather attack America, because we’re not out to slice their chicken necks off.
The French have more testicular fortitude.
Idiot vapid pop culture MSM. Guess it’s transcontiental - that Soros has some loooong arms.
Btw, if the twit who wrote the article you posted is reading this, you say “speculative theory”, I say moonbat lie.
I beg to differ with your assessment... The cover on OK! Magazine is hardly the same as US Weekly. It is the same PR photo (although flipped) - yes. However, the cover title is much, much different - and the article is as well.
As for the photo - PR shots are routinely “shopped” to many different news and media outlets. So, just because two different publications used the same photo in no way means they are related...
If someone finds hard info. that there is some kind of a connection it may be interesting. However, the OK! article doesn’t make the same slanderous charges of “Lies, and Scandal” as the US Weekly cover, and article did.
Nice comment by that Sarah Krueger.
I am disgusted how Barry and Mickey are dressing their daughters. In the OK rag the little girls look like tarts. What the hell is wrong with these people?
and that 1812 thing... the 1914, 1942, and 1991 things are just “soooo bloody trivial.”
And hey, they might not even have Scotland much longer!;)
These people need to be stopped. Cut down to size. The media actually feels slighted because Gov. Palin wasn't vetted...........by THEM. They were not given the scoop before McCain picked her, they were thrown when he did, and now they are angry she hasn't sat down with the Gods of the written word so that they can tell us what to think. Temper tantrums of children!
I wish a famous person would let leak a false story about themselves and let them find out they were duped. Doubt they would get it though. The only way is to hurt them in the pocketbook, which I can't do since I don't subscribe to trash.
Ridicule works for those who think they have power, when they don't. May be a way to give them that.
It was all over a long FR thread yesterday.

Im a 3 generation Kentuckian, family is our base. We dont care what someone says about us we have each other to fall back on. I believe the Palins are the same way. All this crap from the media means ZERO to them, they have their base(their family) screw the nay sayers.
