Obama, the former constitutional law professor argued, "what I have also said is this: that when you suspend habeas corpus which says very simply if the government grabs you, then you have the right to at least ask, 'Why was I grabbed?', and say, 'Maybe youve got the wrong person.'
"The reason you have that safeguard," he said, "is because we don't always have the right person. We dont always catch the right person. We may think this is Mohammed the terrorist, it might be Mohammed the cab driver. You may think its Barack the bomb thrower, but it might be Barack the guy running for president."
Hehheheheeee
“Where is the evidence he was a professor at all?”
He was not a professor. He was a lecturer. There is a world of difference between the two, just like there is a world of difference between a community organizer and a mayor.
Me, I’ve lectured at colleges. I’ve been called “Professor” by students. They do not get it. The Academe is very, VERY rank conscious. The real Profesors, they KNOW better. There are associates, assistants and tenured types. Even adjuncts rank higher than folks like me. Especially sine I have no Doctorate. I am a barbarian, beyond the pale.
So basically Lincoln usurped the congress while suspending Habeas Corpus and then got them to back him up.
How can a sane adult distinguish between 0 and 0?
Where are the interviews with Hussein's friends, students, constituents??????????????????
He’s in freefall.
If not for aid and comfort from the demoted-fired-in-three-months Keith Olberman, he’d be back on the beach in Hawaii.
What he is saying is Barack the bomb-thrower is Barack the guy running for President, and once Barack the bomb-thrower becomes the President, we won’t be able to touch him.
[You may think its Barack the bomb thrower, but it might be Barack the guy running for president.”]
I’m thinkin, maybe there’s not much difference and we oughta throw them both in jail.
“Hes in freefall.”
And the story about fund raising problems appeared in the NY Times, so the problem is worse.
LOFL!!! I'm stealing that.
I go with Barack, the guy who rubs shoulders with the terrorist Ayers.
I think he must be wearing that towel around his head a little too tightly.
“Where is the evidence he was a professor at all?”
He was never a professor.
“Maybe we should report this on Obamas Fight the Smears website?”
Absolutely!
And make sure to alert them about Obama sliming himself when he said “my muslim faith”...
“He could use many other common situations to make his point.”
I was wondering that myself, but we are thinking with logical, rational, conservative minds.
So, I decided to take a little trip.
I stepped into the mindset of a paranoid angry lefty.
And what I’ve come up with is that Barak is trying to demonize the current administration by suggesting they could be so evil - so incompetent - that they are capable of making such a mistake.
It is supposed to make his loony audience recoil in horror...”the Messiah imprisoned by Bush!”....
That’s the best I could come up with.
It isn’t easy trying to think like a liberal.
