He's done it: McCain just sang the praises of Todd Palin as a fisherman and union man at a rally in Missouri, saying his values are the ones he wants to bring to Washington.
You were warned here first. Todd Palin is McCain's blue-collar weapon.
Sarah Palin continues to suck the oxygen out news coverage and public interest. Love her or hate her, people are fascinated. And the media is following like a Yukon gold rush. She has dominated the front pages since her surprise nomination more than a week ago. Given the typical American attention span, this may not last, but don't count on it. Camp Obama must be praying for some major gaffe -- quite possible at any moment for the novice governor.
But there's no mistaking a changed dynamic. There's also a weird roll reversal, with Obama doing small town halls to look more substantive, and McCain drawing thousands to rallies, now that he's suddenly exciting.

OK, so far I “love” her. Got a problem with that? Voting against her would be like voting against my mother. She and McCain need to be elected to “Shake Up Washington!”

Voting against her would be like voting against my mother. I think you hit the nail on the head. This is why the DIMS are in big trouble.
If the DIMS try to replace XEROX as VP with a DIM "woman", It will probably be some Maude clone, which will not work.

Sarah Palin has becomne the lead dog on the team, and the first lap of this Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race has shown she is highly competitive.
The “snow dogs” are more than a little startled by this turn of events.

I finally found a good looking McCain/Palin t-shirt on Amazon.com. The official gear on the McCain website was too boring. Nice stuff available on www.amazon.com.
I ordered a t-shirt for myself & one for my daughter.
